  1. Lucky you ! I'm on time in lieu [emoji35] 08.00-14.00 for me plus I now have the 15th off so I can get to Elvington for the shootout
  2. T****r ! So far I've cleaned hoovered and done windows on car was gonna have a poke around underneath and clean some bits but may be pushing it as I know 50 people will turn up when I do
  3. I'm sat here on my own bored to tears, seen 1 customer all day I wouldn't mind but I'm covering the office instead of doing what I'm paid to do, still finish at two, anyone else suffering the same fate today ?
  4. Doesn't sound normal, is there any blue smoke when running the car or any smell of burning oil when you lift the bonnet. Do you still have the plastic under tray on the car ? If so the oil will collect there and not drip down that quickly. I'd check sump plug on properly, oil filter had no holes and is seated correctly, Shine a torch down the left side of the engine between the airbox and cam covers, see if there's any puddles there, the gaskets weep but not enough to loose that much oik in such a short amount of time, also check the oil feed line to the turbo is ok and has no holes in.
  5. Cheers. Do you have any extras on yours ? Anti lag win maps etc ?
  6. Did you get the gauges installed yet mate?
  7. Cheers mate, one of the other members is looking at open source, for a legacy, mind if I put him in your direction about the car berry ? As I only know of two people yourself include that run it
  8. Most of the top mappers will travel, maybe worth giving them all an email and see what you can get, Matt you using ecutek or carberry ?
  9. Hehe, plus the layout of the engine means that in the event of a head on the engine gets pushed down and underneath the cabin thus lessening the likelyhood of more severe lower body injury !
  10. No 6 on the list does it every time, my misses doesn't drive so that's the end of any argument, when she can she gets an opinion on what we're driving [emoji51] Seriously is your wife thinking about learning to drive ? The insurer won't even think about entertaining the idea of a learner driver in my forester. I'm now seeing between 28-35 mpg out of mine so it's not to ruinous on the wallet any more, supermini will never in a million years see the press figures in real world so you'll probably end up with 37-40ish normal driving which isn't that much different. Super mini small and vunerable,no power to accelerate out of harms way, try going any length of time with someone in rear seats, The wife wanted a practical safe family car that didn't look too fast, so I bought a forester [emoji51]
  11. To be honest, have you just looked at standard shocks with a lowering spring on ? All the people I know who have coil overs fitted don't even bother altering them once they have been set up
  12. To be honest it's something I don't really understand much about, just found out that the impreza/legacy wheels cause rubbing on the forester due to the offset being greater on them than the foz. I guess you'd have that extra couple of mm clearance
  13. It's the other way round, the 48's will sit further away from the centre, I know the 55's won't clear the foz rear struts without spacers. Which is annoying as the foz is the only one to use this offset
  14. I guess so, what does the sticker say on the door jamb re rim sizes available ? The legacy uses a 55mm offset and the foz is 48mm
  15. No idea mate, had mine for 4 years and can't fault it, cant remember the last time the power actually went out
  16. Nah mate, as soon as I got her I sent it to martin for a major service & belts done, thought I'd get it done before the baby was due,
  17. Ah well mate, I did mine as soon s I get it due to having no paperwork for them being done only for to be in same position as you are now
  18. Worth dropping Andy forrest an email he's up your neck of the woods and is well respected, let him know what your looking for power wise and he'll advise. Fuel pump, filter & exhaust + map would be stage 1 like dave says no point going for a turbo upgrade at a later date, get a td05 or one of the vf series turbo and get it all on at once.
  19. Hello welcome, We have a member selling a fairly original car I'll try and dig up the ad
  20. Ctek gets my vote, charges, trickles & conditions the battery so you can leave it on for weeks if needed, waterproof too
  21. Be careful, been know to distort ally bonnets
  22. Possibly mate, they need to be the type that have the sticker on and not the raised subaru logo, been told these will fit the standard wheel. Insurance and tax next month though [emoji26]
  23. I'll see if the bottle is still on Glenn's if your still after one rick?
  24. How much do you want to spend ? BC are popular and have three different versions to suit peoples budgets
  25. 2l turbo If you want big space then go for a legacy, but the boot is ample enough for two of us plus an 18month old and pram travel cot etc http://uk.subaruownersclub.com/forums/index.php?/topic/9698-my-foz
