  1. You can either buy new lamp units, think scoobyparts.com and the likes have them, Or you can go diy and stick them in the oven split them paint & reseal
  2. Should really teach me to do more work instead of being on here all the time, damn you tapatalk !
  3. Touchè ! I don't even know what day it is let alone month [emoji16] theres me thinking about a trip to Suffolk to raid the parts cave before it all got sold haha
  4. Wow ! Hope she's off to a good home, bet that mx5 is really yours haha !
  5. Haha, once you've had a good poke around and got used to it it's quite easy to work on, although the plugs are a ball ache, i'm alright with a spanner but I pay to have them done just because I can't be arsed
  6. Hi mate welcome, May have a thicker rear bar on as they are generally set up to understeer [emoji52] Looks like you've picked up something with a few choice mods
  7. Been slipping on the updates again, not had rick around to keep prodding me [emoji16] So this went on a couple weeks back the stock bar isn't much good at doing anything Along with these As the impreza ones are shorter so less likely to flex, couldn't be bothered doing a job twice so though I'd do it right in the 1st instance All done & sorted Got bored of waiting for the y pipe, the seller even rang up and told me to get something else as sfs were taking the ****. Nice ally hard pipe &sti cooler from savage Then this week two new rims & 4 tyres as one of them wasn't true [emoji35]
  8. Those the silver droplinks nick ? Can't believe they charge an extra 30 quid to have them gold. Checked my bushes again today and now with the wheels hung on there is no gap??
  9. Easiest way is to Google the two meanings as it's quite lengthy. But the short of it is the force applied to turn the wheel, you can have millions of hp but if you don't have much torque it won't make you get of the line any quicker, will give you more speed at the top end, Loads of low down torque fast off the line but you'll run out of steam sooner. (I think slightly drunk so if makes no sense tis why) Think of a diesel car when you boot it at low revs you can feel a swell of power that goes from low down and propels you down the road, where as petrol car of same displacment will have to build up speed and be more gradual
  10. I've a dentist appointment at 08.30 so I'll come down straight after should be there for 09.45-10.00 ish
  11. Yep I 2nd that mate, I was expecting mine (jdm) to make big power gains, truth is it didn't but torque went up alot and that's really what matters, I can keep on the heels of a coupe of cars with a lot more power than me and not feel ashamed plus having a smaller turbo means faster spool up so while others may be lagging behind I'm already up and off
  12. Sound I was gonna cancell the 13th but I need to get this bearing/noise sorted and can't get the 20th off so I'll be down twice Haha
  13. This a new thread to replace the old one or some Mason like thing ?
  14. Yeah I reckon so, ah well least I have 4 straight wheels and new tyres aswell haha
  15. !Removed! easy, fold down rear seat, may need to remove it in saloon, lift out carpet, locate hatch remove, three screws, lift of inspection hatch to reveal top of pump housing, Remove fuel filler cap, turn ignition on and then unplug the electrical connector from top of tank, it will stall but don't worry that's the idea, 90% of pressure will be released. Disconnect the two breather hoses on the left, shouldn't be any leakage, Grab a load of rags and get ready, next undo the large fuel line with the white housing and there should be some residual fuel leak out. Clean hatch if the excess petrol hasn't already done it for you Undo the eight 8mm bolts and lift the lid out, you'll need to turn it through 90° to get the pump and sender unit out then catch the fuel coming out. Take old pump out replace then do reverse of what you've just done, DON'T over tighten the tank nuts, if you shear one your !Removed!. Jsut hand tighten in a criss cross pattern then once your happy nip up a quatre turn plug all back in and turn ignition to the aux position and off again a couple of times to prime tank. Have a look at savages build thread http://uk.subaruownersclub.com/forums/index.php?/topic/3094-a-few-pics-of-my-project-so-far or my pic thread for some pics http://uk.subaruownersclub.com/forums/index.php?/topic/9698-my-foz
  16. Not necessary on subaru's due to the turbo being water and oil cooled. Best thing to do is just drive off boost for the last mile, I let mine cool when I get home anyway, by the time I've got toddler and associated items I out it's about a minute anyway. Insurance companies don't like them, some alarms can be programmed to run for a pre determined time so may be worth looking into if you have an aftermarket one. By all means if you want one fit one but there's no long term benefits of having one installed
  17. I'll wait till it's on tv/Netflix least I can pause it or watch it on two sittings etc
  18. Mate mine feels alot faster as it's giving it more boost earlier. I'll give you a turn in it
  19. Standard ones can get a bit overwhelmed and there's a possibility of it not providing enough at high rpm/boost for the sake of 120 quid I'd change or saves a 2 grand bill
  20. New tyres on and the noise from the rear is still there so a visit to martin and dave on the 13th is due. On another note I changed the arb bushes last week checked them and there seems to be a gap now [emoji35] I measured the bar at 19mm so no idea why they are not fitting properly, may just shave a bit off the cutout to make then smaller
  21. Mine was just chucking fuel out the exhaust so getting it mapped on UK fuels was the main reason I'm getting better economy
  22. Drop ash a pm as not entirely sure was supposed to be yesterday but got postponed
  23. Mate yours wasn't exactly quiet before ! [emoji16]
