  1. Err gonna have to scratch my name off rhe list I'm afraid, I'm not actually in the country pn the 21st [emoji35]
  2. Yes looks like same one, ah well let us know how you get on, seems to be a common problem with metasat
  3. Try emailing this [email protected] don't know if still valid. Also have a pdf user manual I've found if any use to you ?
  4. No worries, basically ome equates yo how it came from the factory. Did it come with 16" or 17" rims as standard Do you have a sticker like this inside drivers door ? Tells you what size rims with which combination of tyres you can put on the car. Have a peek and see what it references with what you've got on
  5. Hi mate try www.importcarparts.co.uk if its not on the site call them as they'll have stock. Failing that it will be the same as the impreza of the same age. Your best off changingbthe pullys and rollers too. You can get complete kits online
  6. Hi welcome, I'm guessing the you'd need the denso Injector kit, don't hold me to this as I can't find much infor for the sg forester. It does say on the site if you check the unknown column they'll send you the correct adaptors. Maybe contact your local dealer, see if they can help ?
  7. Do you know what was the oem rim size ? If you go up from stock you newd to decrease the sidewall hight tp take into account the increase, bigger rims would normally give a harsher ride and be more 'crashy' over lumps and bumps, having the tyres overinflated will cause the contact patch of the surface of the tyre to be smaller giving less grip and increased tyre wear
  8. Gambit has one for sale at the mo not sure if it meets your requirements
  9. Bought a little kenwood underseat sub for a ton. Plenty of bass to complement the rest of the system but not too much to look like your off to sit in maccy d's car park all night
  10. http://uk.subaruownersclub.com/forums/index.php?/topic/9024-Under-body-cleaning-? Have a look at that mate.
  11. I wouldn't say all big places are like that, my van gets it's tyres on account through ats. Know the lads there well so when ever I need something for my car nothing's too much trouble eepends on the people I suppose
  12. Tom, try kt green subaru in leeds they always have a few in
  13. Depends, what make is your boost gauge ? You could buy two more of the same brand and save some money, or buy 3 new ones, Various places like scooby world do kits for 200 I think, how handy are you with electrical stuff ? Some of them daisy chain into each other so you only have to wire one into the car and that powers the other two, some need all three wiring separately. It's fairly easy but fiddly as depending on where you locate them access can be a ball ache Has it been mapped ? If so ask the previous owner which fuel it was done on, jap cars run on higher octane than here so vpower is the closest we get here. Don't bother buying cheap oil filters genuine subaru ones are about 9 quid frpm dealer maybe cheaper on line. Also worth checking if it's been undersealed and when, they don't salt the roads in japan so it's not as well protected underneath Diy kits are between 10 quid for a pot of the brush on stufg to 50quid for a big tub and spraying applicator. It's messy but well worth getting underneath and the wheel arches coated before winter if it's not been done for a while
  14. Google suggests 32 front 29 rear for impreza 2000-2007
  15. Far too high mate, check the drivers side door jamb there should be a sticker telling you, for instance mine are 29psi front and 26 rear. I guess yours should be around that too.
  16. Tips wise always use vpower unless uyou have twin maps, they love fresh oil I do two changes a year and if sonething seems too cheap to be true it prob is. Find a specialist in your area and you'll be laughing
  17. To be fair for your age thats not too bad plus you get to enjoy a good car while theres still petrol ay a devent price. I know people older than me that pay more than you on slower cars[emoji55] Long and short of it is to drive off boost untill water temp gauge is in the middle and to drive off boost for last mile or two, I leave mine running by the time I've got out of the car and sorted my stuff out of boot etc it's a minute and I just switch off. No question is stupid mate at the end of the day I don't profess to be the font of all knowledge and am learning as much as everyone else, thats why I like this forum as everyone's on the same wavelength and is genuinely nice to each other, no matter how litte or much experience they have [emoji1]
  18. Unless you take the long route to the shops [emoji2] It's usually still warm enough if I've been shopping for up to an hour by the time your out the car park etc it should be up to temp again. You hit the nail on the head mate, like I say check what alarm you have as some of them have the ability to shut off after a pre determined time. Mine would have cost the previous owner 25quid extra to add to alarm output function, I can't find it cheaper that 300 extra now as they keep trying to sell me a remote start kit add on [emoji35]
  19. [emoji1] brilliant !
  20. I suffer from piston slap so I tend to warm the car up completly before I drive her, so I can't hear the psitons clattering around. I tend to sit in mine for 5-10 mins before driving so water and oil are just about right but as long as you dont spank it till it's warm you'll be ok. 5 mins at under 2.5k rpm gentle driving, Cooling down I normally drive off boost for the last couple of miles home then leave it stationary running for 30secs to a min. Subaru turbos are normally oil & water cooled so don't suffer the problems that oil only do, that necessitate a timer. At the end of the day it's prob a good thing to get used to doing so a turbo timer will do that for you if you cant be bothered to sit there and wait, personal preference really. If you do fit one don't tell your insurance company they dont like them [emoji52]
  21. A little bit of front end understeer is par for the course with it being awd. Quite a few owners who are 'enthusiastic' in driving style often change the rear ARB for a thicker one. Or just drive around the problem. Since I've changed the struts you can really lean on her into the corner and just use the grip to come through the other side. Wet weather performance is in a diffrrent league
  22. Don't mean to sound like I'm teaching you to suck eggs but what pressure are you running in the rears ? Even a couple of psi difference will cause very different handling
  23. Technically a turbo timer isn't needed but they do give you the grin factor and can be good for warming the car up In winter. The wiring will be the same, if you buy one with a harness just make sure you get the correct year harness. What alarm do you have ? Some come with the freature it juat needs to be programmed in.
  24. Looks nice and clean, I prefer the pre face lift models think the bottom of the front end looks nicer, They like regular servicing so even if you just change the oil and filter inbetween servicing there should be no reason for it not to go on for anothr 50-100k without any problems, just warm the car up and make sure everythings up to operating temp before giving it the beans as the head gaskets were an issue on the 2.5 motors in the early models. Have a look for subaru specalists in your area as they tend to be a lot cheaper than the dealers. Maybe speak to opie oils (trader on here) regarding a different oil for the colder weather
  25. Sets it off nicely [emoji1] What scoops on the saloon in the 1st pic ?
