  1. Just tried to sync the new fob to the car, turns out it was locked by the installer and I need to get an authorised installer to unlock with a bitwriter [emoji35]
  2. It's all good mate we book through the club and if we don't make the numbers we get refunded
  3. Got a cottage in west burton till Friday. I love it up there it's only an hour away from me so I go up regularly either camping in summer or used to hire a cottage in winter up until a couple of years ago. Great driving roads I'll be going long way up through Grassington and over the top [emoji2]
  4. Fuel pump in, new key fob arrived and my front arb bushes have finally been dispatched. Away in the dales for a couple of nights tomorrow so looking forward to a nice drive on some country roads
  5. Fitted new pump today, greeted by an inch of dirt on the cover Obviously never been done horrible sock, Note the blue wire and extra earth running to a little black box ? Cue a couple of calls (thanks clive) Decision made to remove it all as had no idea what it was Nice shiny new one
  6. Yes mate loads of difference, I changed mine in November. The droplinks make everything feel stiffer and a little more responsive. The pitch stop is slightly different as mine was 15 years old so I could feel an immediate improvement as the rubber in the middle had fallen apart. My engine wasn't as wobbly on start up and it's again stiffened bits up. Downside is sounds like the starter is in the passenger footwear now. Small trade off
  7. Yes quite a few of us use them good service and if you can't see anything listed give them a bell they will have it or be able to get in quickly
  8. Over one bar, assuming it's on a standard engine with no mods or remap I'd say it's cutting fuel, turn the boost controller down
  9. No worries keep us posted as to how you get on, have you got a boost gauge fitted ? Do you know at what point it's holding back boost/revs wise could be hitting fuel cut point to save it from bad things happening.
  10. Hi welcome, could be one of many things from a hole in one of the vac lines loose clip on the air box or something more. May be worth doing a diagnostic test either with an odd scanner or using the self test connectors under the drivers side of the dash. http://uk.subaruownersclub.com/forums/topic/2366-manually-reading-ecu-codes/ Try this 1st see if anything comes up. Then I'd have a look to see if there's any loose or split hoses
  11. To be fair David, I think they would have looked a little lost in your arches,I was debating on getting a set for the foz but they looked all wrong (and offset is wrong)
  12. Plenty of time lol ! New fuel pump ? Did you not put a walbro in not long ago
  13. Looking good mate, just out of interest did your mapper say anything about changing your boost soliniod from a 2port to a 3 port ?
  14. As long as the flages match at either end you'll be ok, some taper for the flange, so it will be 2.5 at the downpipe join then go to a 3" section. If you've got a 2.5" backbox just get a 2.5" straight through section it will join at the cat peffectly
  15. Golf is 4wd and the bm is rwd, the golf is a very capable car it I vw after all so You get the usual niceties and a dsg box, like Steve says the power delivery in the subaru is decidedly old fashioned compared to the golf, as an everyday car the golf is something you can get in and go fast at any point. The subaru is something you have to work to get the best out of the car and learn to enjoy, as it will feel a bit outdated compared to the golf. As for the bm it's not a full fat m car but from what I've seen is brilliant it just doesn't stir up excitement.
  16. No discount unfortunately [emoji25] worth a try a blag some though we all use them so it would be nice If you manage it
  17. Remeber it's only been here since 2007 so now been subject to loads of salt,
  18. Ro be honest as long as you aren't chasing massive power a 'normal belt' should be fine, just get all the idlers and pulleys done at the same time
  19. Well mine is 17 now so I'm quite happy that there's only that little amount. I do clean down and underseal & waxoil her every year. This last week has been horrendous, Done 100 miles and it looks like I've been to middle earth and back. What you had done at gr mate ?
  20. I've a couple of tiny bits apprearing under the trim protector
  21. Did you get the group n engine mounts too ?
  22. Still good ! drivable I reckon maybe the odd cel light appearing now and then [emoji51]
