Impreza Turbo 1994 rear subframe bush replacement.
Hi mate, not sure about your question re dropping it all but if you speak to one of the scooby specialists around I'm sure they'll be able to help you out. I use martin & dave in sheffield @ sheff subaru service, they've answered many a daft question when I've rung up. As for bushes I'd just go for oem spec if you don't want the harshness of polyurethane ones, try www.importcarparts.co.uk for them, if you can't see what you want give them a bell as they'll probably have it in

Sf spring rates
Mr b, Thats what I was thinking but I could do with new tops too was just trying to get the entire package cheaper as I didn'd really want to buy any in the 1st place. Had kyb's in the past and found them to be good, whats your opinion on the pedders stuff ? Sorry I was typing the reply as before seeing your other post :-D

Sf spring rates
Now I'm slightly confused as various foz websites recommend a 6/5 fron rear rate where as bc website is 8/6 Although I've read that that combo makes it unbarable as a daily drive. Going on weights of models the sf has the least kerb weight but highest front spring rate ? I'd have thought that it would be more in line with the classic impreza set up due to there no being much difference in weight

Cheap type r

Sf spring rates
Can anyone tell me what the standard spring rates are please? Lookiing at replacing the suspension, one bc kit lists replacement springs at 8kg/mm at the front and 6kg/mm rear, I think this may be too much.

coilover pro's & cons
I'm looking at the pedders kit for foresters so guess it's a straight swap ? Wasn't even planning on taking the bottom swing arm off just unbolting compressing spring dropping the tops and wriggling out. Is that possible ? It's worked on other cars I've done If I went for the coils would anywhere that could do 4wheel alignment be able to do the camber plates properly ?

Need some parts
I'll move this into the parts wanted section mate should get more responses. I've a pair of rear struts coming off soon although one is totally shagged

coilover pro's & cons
The suspension on the foz is dead, So havinh to make an enforced chamge means I am within a budget. My initial thoughts are seeing as the rear is sat lower than the lowering kits I've been looking at and the front isn't much far off go down the re using top mounts and geting new shocks/springs all round. But seeing as the bc setup for the foz is only a ton more do I splash out and go down that route And get some shiny new top mounts included in the price ? Whats the ride like on pillowball mounts is there a massive increase in nvh? Is it worth it and do they come set up with default camber settings or do I need to factor in an alignmet session into cost ? The car is never going to be tracked so do I save my money and go with the cheaper option ?

Yep as much as I like shape of mine the sti looks the business plus more ip to date bigger faster better handling etc. If I had the money I'd have one like a shot.
