Private Cars Cannot Be Sold With Road Tax From October 2014
Mine runs out in june so will i be able to buy an old one for the full year or will i have to send it back in oct ? is anyone gonna reduce the cost of the car by x amount to factor in the buyers extra outlay. For those of you with cars in the expensive tax bracket it's gonna be a nightmare having to shell out for tax and insurance at the same time. Stupidly i had bought 12 months at the same time as my insurance (car was untaxed) but i know most of us like to stagger it so the painnis a little easier to bare

Length of rad maybe ? Been looking at mine and my radiator is slightly recessed. Any pics would be great thanks :-)

slam/cooling panels
Anyone got one on a classic ? I'd like to know if it would fit on the foz, the pictures i've found look like it would go on only difference being the expansion bottle and coolant lines come out the end of my radiator instead of half way inbetween. A nice close up pic would be good

to underseal or not?

I did this then insert the sprayer pick up which got cloged up with the stuff from bottom of can. Bareing in mind i'd pressurised it by this time so even after i let it all out it still started to **** everywhere. Cleaning the nozzle is a pain in the !Removed! too. I got annoyed and cut my losses threw the whole lot in the bin.

It's really simple just time consuming and makes your arm ache. Like you say once its done car looks like new. You can coat anything that doesn't get hot or is plastic so just go for it lol ! It should eat the rust away too.

It stinks goes everywhere and doesn't come off very well. When i used the waxoil sprayer kit it went on the manifold gearbox you name it . I wouldn't have minded but it cost 50quid so i'm driving down the road with smoke pouring out of everywheer for about half hour before it all burnt off looked like a right tit ! I bought the hammerite underbody seal with waxoil in and it's about 12 quid and i've done two cars and only used a 3rd

I didn't wash mine as it was done when it was imported plus theres the issue of water ingress. I used those individual ramps this year saves jacking up and down. But axle stands are fine, i did the whole car in under 4hours that included getting a wire brush and removing all the !Removed! and loose old stuff then applying new coat. It drives out moisture when you put it on so as long asbyou leave it to dry for 12 hours it should be all good. I'll see if i can find the pictures

Plus you only have to do it every couple of years.

Yep i'd say deffo especially seeing you live by the sea. i do it to every car as they tend to be old anyway so every little helps. Did the forester in novmber put a couple of pics up but all info was lost when the server change/crash happened. Last year on the mazda i used the high pressure sprayer. Never again right pain and i didn't get the coverage i wanted. And went everywhere else If you have the time i'd reccomend the stuff you apply with a brush and get some of the rattle cans for the areas you can't reach

Paint Code Location?
How much do you need ? Could alwaystry subaru dealer for one of those little touch up stick things ? Halfords can make paint up with the paint code either little pots or rattle cans. Just be careful i found the data base they use to be incorrect. They kept trying to tell me the paint code for my mazda was the correct one even though it was different to the one on the vin. Ended up taking a picture in with me to get the correct paint

Paint Code Location?
Looking like this is suspect ? However mine makes no sense to me as its two tone so is that just the code for the paint ?

Maybe you should get a written testiment from your neighbour with what happened to them and see if you can get something from the garage ? May be a waste of time but you nver know if it's a known problem could get lucky I managed to write of an a class merc once while reversing and i wasn't even in it but it was till my fault

Second Gen 2.0 non-turbo MPG / Range
If yours is anything like mine i can get nearly 170 miles to half a tank then it drops like a stone between half and a quarter. Steady away i can get nearly another 100 out of the final bit and i've never had the reserve light come on. Real world driving round and about 50-60 is more like it. 300miles out of a tank is usual on long drives for me and mines an older model. Hopefully now i've changed the o2 sensor economy will be a bit better. Typed all that and realised yours is n/a !

Nick, i wouldn't like to say they have some on ebay but the newage ones look a bit weird with rotating holders. Could always mail the company and see. May even be albe to see if the have a european distributor save on shipping from the states
