  1. Yeah I'd either post up in the general or electrical section. More people will view it then. I know what you mean avout the power delivery :-D This is my 1st turbo'd car and it always makes me chuckle when giving it a bit.
  2. Yep, looks nice mate, you get to sheffield last night ?
  3. To the bird or rad ? May be too late to save the bird :-D Much coolant leak out when you removed the offending debris ? If not much came out and the temp gauge stayed normal I'd just order a new rad and renew coolant
  4. The downpipe does have a small heatsheild which was put on with the exhaust fitting, considering the place sells heat wrap and turbo gaskets I don't know why they didn't try and upsell me some ! I've only got a td04 on how much heat does it produce compared to the bigger ones ? How easy is it to wrap with the pipe on the car ? Sav, have you priced up getting it all ceramic coated ? Sent from my SM-T210
  5. Good news fella, what ither upgrades you got planned ? Sent from my SM-T210
  6. Mainly been watching the water bead up nicely after a fresh coat of wax for the last couple of days, ended up with loads of condensation in the n/s headlight after the crazy rain, trying to evaporate it off by driving round with lights on, anyone got any better techniques? Sent from my SM-T210

    No more Subaru

Yeah, I mainly frequented the mx5oc, but it was more a place to get a bit of info other than general banter, Think I'd posted more here in 6 months than I had in 3 years on the other one, The medts were much more civilised affairs, there is on at the lanswood arms once a month if your interested Sent from my SM-T210

I've seen small block v8's shoehorned into the mx5 so a flat 4 should be easy :-D I agree with you pommy on the community thing, Seemed to be more old blokes with beards on there :O
  9. Lol taken me over half hour to reply with a trivial post in which time much more technical answers been posted :-D
  10. Not silly at all mate, If you go up a wheel size too much you obviously increase the distance between the centre of the hub and outside and the whole footprint of the tyre which will affect the speedo. Braking, handling and various other things will be altered but you don't really notice unless you go to extremes. Going up in rim size down in tyre will keep it roughly the same you'll just loose a little comfort with having a smaller sidewall
  11. Just keep in mind you'll need to keep the rolling radius the same as the cuurrent wheel or else your speedo will be out, Are you on 16" at the mo ? Sent from my SM-T210
  12. Ah right Im over in Pudsey, Photobucket is one hosting site that quite a lot of people use Sent from my SM-T210
  13. Earlier cars have smaller tanks, I've never put more than 50 litres in, did you wait for the light to come on before re filling ? The gauges are well out too, I can do another 30 miles when it says empty and thats before the low light shows, May as well reset the ecu when you've filled it up with vpower too Sent from my SM-T210
  14. Why not ! No point shelling out on some brackets when you can make some custom fit ones [emoji16] Sent from my SM-T210
  15. Be rude not to if there are any advertised in the area haha Sent from my SM-T210
  16. I keep looking at doing the same thing mate, google forester 17 inch wheels, think theres a post on forester.org about different rims and what the look like, for sale section or ebay will be best place for cheap wheels, price varies depending on condition & if tyres included Sent from my SM-T210
  17. Grimmspeed stuff is quite well known in the states, don't know if you can get hold of it easily over here, whoever installed it should have had the car mapped at the same time, maybe see if you can get hold of a standard part and put it back in Sent from my SM-T210
  18. Urban driving or motorways ? I get about 20mpg round town, upto th low 30's on the motorway
  19. Hi mate welcome, Things in leeds are a little quiet at the mo, had a couple of meets with varing success. I'm not gonna be able to make the Sheffield one tonight as on holiday, but if you can get down it's worth it. We have the northern big one at lightwater valley on the 29th coming up too. A few of us will be attending that. Which part of leeds you from ?
  20. Let us know what you end up with, when I had the exhaust repalced they removed the heat shield so I'm looking at putting something on to replace it but some of them are silly money Sent from my SM-T210
  21. Any classic decat down pipe should fit, just make sure you get one the correct length to delete the pair some down pipes are shorter. Could always look into just removing the 2nd one not sure which bits would fit as I think the 3rd section is slightly different to the impreza. Got any mates wuth classics close to to you that you cold measure parts ?
  22. Presume so mate, from people who have been before that seem to be the only way. Tried to contact the organisers and what not, so has gambit no joy and the ticket section on the site takes you back to sonewhere else. If it all goes !Removed! up I have a contingency plan !
  23. Save people reading through pages here's the details From 08.45 at quarry moor retail park, HG4 2SD just off the A61 rippon bypass, Plan is to leave around 09.30 and head up to lightwater valley taking the bypass it's about six miles. For people coming up the A1 it's off at junction 50 then follow signs to rippon/harrogate, For gaulson and those traveling from the west follow a59 from skipton till you get to the roundabout at the entrance to harrogate the turn left onto a61. Sent from my SM-T210
  24. I have no idea, it's more than likely to be the same as the classic impreza, the up pipe and turbo back sections are. Is yours looking a bit past it ? There is a heat shield on there so if that bits knackered may be worth removing it and checking the condition of the pipe it's self. May get away with removing it then heat wrapping the pipe Randomly subaru exhausts tend to rust from rhe outside in.
