I kissed on of the metal kerb things in a shell garage the day I came to view that car with you [emoji23] It was about an inch long gash and was deeper at one end, had a flap of tyre just dangling, Didn't notice for 100 miles or so and half of that was at motorway speeds, didn't have any detrimental effect on the tyre, would have been mot failure I suspect. Could be one of many things, Have you started off by seeing if there are any stored fault codes on ecu ? If it comes back as clear, check boost soliniod, (may be worth a clean) All hoses and pipework relating to turbo, wastegate actuator arm to see if all OK, and may he worth checking if you have restrictor pilot in place. Cambelt 5 years or 100k so I'd see if they'd do it as part of the sale. As for engine issues they suffered from Ringland issues but there was a recall for a map adjustment, but depends on how it been looked after I've seen engines go at 30k but others are still going strong well over 100k Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
