Last time I did the 5 day deal on the boat, wasn't too bad. Since they stopped flying from leeds it's the only option otherwise it's train foot/boat /taxis, friends used to live in Douglas so wasn't a problem but since the moved down castletown driving is easier not to mention soo much fun,

Get yourself a genuine subaru gasket set will save loads of problems later on, import car parts do them as a set

If you remove the load cover in the boot there towers are under the plastic covers it the rust is that bad then run away, They tend to collect crud inside the arch where the shock bolts up to the body

Ordered a new pcv valve as aparrently it's a service item every 30k ? Along with some screw caps and some pipework

My early one uses classic shape rad, think when they rolled the foz out the just used what ever they had lying around, some bits classic some newage etc

Hello &welcome, There's a buying guide in the faqs, Like most cars really look for rust in the usual areas,rear arches especially with jap cars, Knocks rattles & smoke on start up, Although piston slap is common but it goes away when warm. Just have a look at as many as you can as there are some right lemons around

Let dunc fit it on weds, it will run rubbish if you only have a 2 port on there -
The noise could have been some of the turbine vanes shearing off, if it did they could be stuck in the intercooler been ingested into the engine or hopefully gone through the exhaust, As for the solinoid not sure about the code may have to look at the list of cel codes that could be generated

Wash and use metal polish tom, That's if you can be bothered it shouldn't rust the salt will attack it over time but my last one on the mazda had been on 20 years and with a bit of elbow grease came up good. I've blown yet another sidelight bulb ? Went to Halfords for a pair, about 10 people in car park replacing batteries [emoji23] only good side to the cold is the turbo is loving the cool air

Cobra sport in Sheffield is obviously closer but about 30 quid more than the Rev exhaust, depends if fuel & the extra 300 miles on the journey outweigh the savings, I've used them and the service & quality is spot on

Don't expect them to last that long. I've been through two in 3 years rubbish construction to blame
