Hello getting this car in a few days, it'll be coming up 8 years old next year. i'd like to know of any reliability issues I could face or specific problems this car has, if any, and I guess just with sti's in general? I've been offered a 1 year RAC warranty from the dealer for £299. Would it be a good investment? If something went wrong i don't think i could afford a big repair bill so i'm considering it. The dealer has a good reputation and the car has a full service history. If i don't need the warranty i'll likely spend the money on a remap instead.
  2. Hi there guys, im posting on behalf of my cousin, hes got a 1993 subaru impreza wrx jdm import for sale. It was imported around 2007 and it is completely original and stock and no modifications have been done to it probably except the stereo lol. This is a version 1 impreza which means it has the more robust closed deck block. it has only 145,000km which translates into approximately 90,000 miles! the car is in excellent condition and is rust free!!! it has a few tiny age related marks which are to be expected seeing its 24 years old it is but very very little dents or scratches are present. it is absolutely mint inside with very little sag. as far as i remember it has original subaru mats as well! i will double check! Just had £500 spent on radiator water heater and heater matrix pipes it is restricted to 115mph He is currently the 4th owner There are some extras he is going to include with the car such as the drivers side lights.     EJ255 upgrading

    Morning all, i have read a million answers for older engines but not for the newer. my 2009 WRX-S hatch is currently not forged at all, 5 speed, standard VF52 running 280bhp and 350 lb/ft. Has mishimoto Tmic, tomei decat 3" exhaust, HKS SSQV(I know, I know 😂) K&N typhoon intake and more supporting mods. the only option left is turbo upgrade. Not talking crazy, just want the top end. Likely an SC36 billet or SC42 with pump ofc anyone have experience with this block, how it handles the power, is the gearbox up to it, what needs looking at etc am thinking ARP head studs, upgraded gasket, forged pistons and bearings to be safe but.... anyone dealt with this?
