  2. Hi, I recently brought an imported 04 STI, just wanted to say hi to everyone:) Stock at the moment apart from a new English head unit and of course hella horns, but I've got plans for it. Ed
  3. So, my other half's father just accidentally snapped my super rare, extremely difficult to find OEM one piece wind deflectors on my SF5 STi. I'm here in the vain hope that somebody here knows where I can get some replacements? Any recommendations are greatly appreciated.
  4. Hi all Apologies if I have put this post in the wrong place but I'm new here. I am selling my Subaru Forester Sti SG09 Facelift model. The was imported into the UK by Torque GT in Devon in Jan 2016 and I am the first registered UK keeper. Since I have had the car I have put approx 20,000 miles on it. I have replaced the terrible Subaru stock radiator with a full aluminium Mishimoto radiator and the car had a full turbo rebuild in March 2017 along with a full service by Subaru4you. That was approximately 4000 miles ago. The car has had all the usual UK modifications carried out (kmh-mph, fog light etc) I have only run the car on Shell Optimax and have meticulously kept a log of the milage and can confirm that it average 26.54mpg over its lifetime with me so far. The car is full JDM spec with the addition of a Sti Genome exhaust (which still has the purple and yellow paint in the lettering on the side) which is lovely and quiet at low revs but has a real roar to it when you put your foot down. I have changed the Japanese double din head unit for a Kenwood unit which has a built in Garmin sat nav (with full Europe mapping)and bluetooth car kit. Cant remember the model number at the moment. This car is priced low to sell as I was due to be part-exing it for an Audi but the garage lost their bottle on taking it as they only sell performance VW and Audi cars and dont want to take a risk on selling a Subaru!? I am looking for £9000.00 OVNO for the car. I attach a picture taken a couple of months ago as I haven't had a chance to take any others (up to 1hr ago this was going to be a trade in!) but will be able to take more detailed pictures and answer any questions about the car should you be interested. Thanks Paul.
  5. Hi all, I have recently become the owner of a 2003 JDM Blobeye WRX STI. Absolutely loving the car so far, however a careless driver has hit the car while it's parked and caused damage to rear bumper and driver's side rear light (bumper is dented and creased. Light has some broken glass and been pushed out of alignment).I hate my cars to have a scratch on them so I'll want to get this sorted ASAP, but just wondered if anyone knew whether the UK Blobeye rear lights are plug and play in a JDM model? Likewise with the bumper - will a WRX STI Blobeye rear bumper from a UK model swap straight over on a JDM car?Cheers to anyone that can help
  6. Car is absolutley immaculate. Fresh respray and underseal. Running safe Simtek 312BHP. Full in detail description and pictures on the link below. If you know of any friends that would like this please spread the word. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/132334069371?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649
  7. Believe it's a Mitsubo, but could be a Fujitsubo, cat back exhaust. Came on my import 2006 Subaru STi. I love this exhaust and it's sound is great to be honest, but it's a 2.5" at the flange that tapers up to a 3" so it'll fit up with a stock catalytic converter no problem. I'm selling as I wanted a 3" system to go with my downpipe which is also 3". Anyway, it's used obviously and has been scraped slightly along the backbox section, along with it being dented. However I had no idea that was there until I pulled it as it's not noticeable when looking at it from normal height and there's no leaks or anything (just passed MOT last month). I have a video of a cold start with a rev or two (it's windy though) if anyone is interesting in seeing it. Asking £200 ONO, willing to ship if buyer pays any PayPal fees/shipping costs (£40 roughly I believe). Many thanks, any questions, feel free to ask 😊
  8. Here is the write up for my car it is advertised on ebay and gumtree also. This is a auction for my prize possession a classic 1994 imported WRX. I bought the car 2 years ago and have spent every minute since perfecting it spending countless time and money on it. Unfortunately it is time to sell as I am going to be getting a house soon and wont be able to afford the costs. The car will be greatly missed and I would like to make sure it goes to someone who will keep it running well and overall take care of it as I have. Below I will go into full detail of the specs of the car and show in pictures how much it has transformed over the past 2 years and no corners have been cut. Body The car was originally Silver when I bought it and silver was its original colour from Subaru. When I bought the car I had it repainted 02C World Rally Blue to look more like a iconic Impreza. Under the bonnet, inside the doors, under the boot lid have all been done repainted blue. There are some stone chips on the front splitter. The car is always washed regularly with Autoglym products including polishing and waxing recently. Both front and rear number plates are legal and have carbon fibre lettering to add to the look, they also both say “ Subaru Boxing Club” in small underneath. The Windscreen has been replaced only last year so is spotless. Recently fitted new windscreen wipers also. Features rare STI clear tail lights and clear front lights. Underneath the whole car has been undersealed to prevent rust at a later date. Interior The interior has been treated to a newer looking set up with Blue STI bucket seats and a matching rear bench and door cards. As you can see on the pictures a lot of the cars interior is carbon fibre dipped this has been done professionally and in great detail and looks perfect exactly like the real thing not like some of the cheap stuff you see. There is a OMP racing steering wheel and a newer looking gearstick with carbon fibre knob and short shifter. Suspension Tyres and Alloys I have fitted BC BR Coilovers which are fully adjustable from soft to hard and ride height. The car has Rota alloys painted in gun metal with Yokohama Semi Slick Tyres all still have good tread on them. Brakes The brakes have been upgraded to the calipers from a 2004 Impreza so it now has 4 pot on the front and 2 pot rear. Full EBC Red stuff pads all round with drilled and grooved discs you feel like you can drive the car fast because it gives you the confidence that you have the right brake set up to stop you safely. Performance Modifications The car started life as a WRX with around 230BHP when I first got it Dyno’d but it was my aim to reach 300. The mods below have the car running a safe but powerful professionally mapped 311.8BHP. . Japspeed Front Mounted Intercooler . Japspeed Full exhaust system from turbo back de-cat 3” . Japspeed Aluminum lightweight radiator . 440 Yellow injectors professionally cleaned full flowing (have the receipt to prove it) . K&N 9” Cone air filter . RCM upgraded fuel pump . TD05 Turbo (checked by Eurospec to be fully working no damage) ECU The car has a Simtek ECU capable of various maps for different power inputs mapped by Steve Simpson who is the creator of the Simtek ECU. He himself personally mapped the car and signed the ECU as proof this was all carried out at ZI motorsport. The car also has two red switches which control the anti lag and launch control. On high revs the Anti lag will spit flames and pop and band extremely loud and good fun! but can be turned on and off by switch. Security The car has a Clifford alarm system 650 MK11 fitted which includes a immobilizer which if you come to view I will demonstrate. The system also has a remote start which means 5 minutes before you leave start up the car via the key fob so it can get to the right temperature and remotely turn it off after it has cooled down this is good for the engine and a good show off feature when your car starts itself. The car will also give a single buzz at nosey people looking trough the windows or potential thieves and if the continue to look the alarm will sound. Other features I have paperwork receipt proof of all that follows: . Recently changed 4 NEW coil packs . NEW battery only a year ago . Forge Header tank . 110% Brighter headlight bulbs . Rocket cover gasket recently replaced . Sound proofing in doors and boot. . Gearbox,Clutch and Diff replaced last year . New age power steering pump modification done by ZI Motorsport . STI Spoiler fitted recently . Wheels recently aligned . Oil, coolant and spark plugs all done Mileage The car has done 180,462km which converts to 112,133 miles but the car being 23 years old this is understandable and the car has always been well looked after with regular servicing and Eurospec recently inspected the Cam-belt and all was well the engine runs fine with no bad sounds. Japfest As shown in one of the pictures the car recently attended Japfest 2017 on show. I still have the show number and pictures of the car on display. The car also features a Japfest sticker in the rear window. Insurance The car is extremely cheap to insure this is because on the log book and on the DVLA system the car shows up as a Subaru Impreza GL 2.0. This is due to a small amount of WRX being imported wrongly. Try for yourself the insurance is unbelievably cheap and the tax is only £20 per month which is very cheap for a Impreza. The car is officially a WRX import as shown on its engine code. Overall Overall the car has been cared for and not driven badly. The engine has always been allowed to warm up and cool down before and after being driven. Im sure there is lots I've forgotten to mention as the car is packed with so many features and this description is long enough already but you wont be disappointed with this Impreza its loud fast and gives the the confidence to drive it how it should be. Any Questions please text me and ask I would be happy to provide more information and pictures. The Car comes with 2 folders worth of history and receipts for all the work carried out. 9. The problem I have posted this problem before but trying again now as I've had it for months now and can't seem to find any help. It's getting really annoying such a simple thing not working. So I have a classic GC8 shape 1994 JDM WRX and the problem is that when I press the lock button on my key fob the car chirps and lights flash which makes it look like its locked when actually only the driver's door locks. It is the same problem if I lock it manually with the key. What I have done so far to try and fix the problem Many people suggested that the central locking control box located under the passenger footwell could be faulty so I went ahead and had a look at it and inside the box around the connectors had corrosion and on the connectors of the wiring. So I got a working replacement box and replaced the connectors on the wiring and still no luck however when i plugged this in it did make a locking noise happen but the doors didn't actually lock. I have checked all the fuses both under the drivers footwell and under the bonnet. As far as I have looked I cant seem any obvious damage to anything within the door. Any help would be much appreciated I will post pictures below of what I am seeing but I'm not to sure what most of it is. If anyone has any advice on what to do next or if there is another group on here anyone could suggest to help me out that would be great.
  10. Hi there guys, im posting on behalf of my cousin, hes got a 1993 subaru impreza wrx jdm import for sale. It was imported around 2007 and it is completely original and stock and no modifications have been done to it probably except the stereo lol. This is a version 1 impreza which means it has the more robust closed deck block. it has only 145,000km which translates into approximately 90,000 miles! the car is in excellent condition and is rust free!!! it has a few tiny age related marks which are to be expected seeing its 24 years old it is but very very little dents or scratches are present. it is absolutely mint inside with very little sag. as far as i remember it has original subaru mats as well! i will double check! Just had £500 spent on radiator water heater and heater matrix pipes it is restricted to 115mph He is currently the 4th owner There are some extras he is going to include with the car such as the drivers side lights. Offers around £2900 from genuine interests and please NO TIME WASTERS or TEST PILOTS!!! it is a classic and will only go up in value!!! any questions please ask. this is his number 07772016356 If you want you can inbox me as well!
  11. I have a 94 WRX import My central locking didn't work when i first bought the car 2 years ago but was easily fixed by a second hand central locking box. Now it seems it has gone again only this time a new box hasn't worked. I first realized this after i had finished soundproofing the doors and when i finished for the day i locked the car. When i came back to it in the morning i opened the rear right door to get something out the back and the alarm started going off however the drivers door remained locked so i thought i have maybe done something while soundproofing the drivers door. The connection to the central locking box located under the passenger footwell has corrosion in the box and on the end of the connectors of the wiring so i got a replacement box and new connectors on the end of the wiring yet still nothing. There seems to be a wire that runs inside the door that isn't getting power but i don't know if this has anything to do with central locking. I will add picture of it below. It has always been abit temperamental like if you slightly moved the box the car would unlock or wouldn't work again till you moved it again yet now i cant get anything out of it. Have checked every fuse as i didn't know which one it could be and nothing wrong with any of them. This is a pain as I've spent a day trying to sort this out and got nowhere does anyone have any ideas? The drivers door is the only one that locks and unlocks. The picture below is a wire i found plugged in but doesn't seem to be getting any power.
  12. Hi, I'm Lucas, 23 yrs. From Edmonton, AB, Canada. Just imported my car through Brian @ B-Pro Imports in Calgary, AB. So far I've lifted my Forester with a custom 2" ADF Anderson Design and Fabrication lift kit from a guy named Patrick in Sandy, Oregon, USA. It was custom made to get proper alignment specs for the tires I put on. I have custom wheels made by Diamond Racing Wheels-16x8 neg 51 off set wheels, wrapped in 225/70R16 BF Goodrich tires. Planning on making some finder flares. Going to use conveyor belt for mud flaps. Also making a custom bash bar for front bumper. Looking into a 48" Yakima roof rack with basket, that will have my 52" Rigid Industries light bar attached. Currently installing my Auto Meter boost gauge- holy f*ck there's a lot of wire to deal with and so much Japanese. My gf is officially my translator lol. Trying to make my car as original as possible. Went to a car meet and have gotten a lot of compliments so far. My gf signed me up on this site to get some ideas and opinions on future projects. Hope you all can share a few ideas and get acquainted with me. Look forward to being apart of this club.

  17. Now my mapping is all sorted I'm thinking whats next this won't be for a while but I'm just brain storming. The car seems to rattle about feels like a track car with a lot of road noise and vibrations I've heard that the foam matting is good for solving these issues just wanna know if any other classic owners have tried this or if they know what I'm saying. Secondly i think i may need a 6th gear as i do motorway journeys a fair bit and wouldn't mind a non boost cruising gear to help the mpg , my car was originally a 1994 WRX import so does anyone know how i would go about getting a 6 speed? Thanks for you help as always :)

  22. SUBARU FORESTER STI £7995 Super rare and very special; The Subaru Forester STI was built by Subaru for the Japanese domestic market only (JDM) I sourced the vehicle through Japanese import specialists Torque GT. It took 6 months to find the perfect model. They then sent their team to check the quality and spec of the vehicle which is Grade 4. I purchased it at auction, then had it shipped to the UK where it underwent its Individual Vehicle Approval (IVA) Test, got it’s BIMTA certificate of mileage verification, UK registration on 1 January 2014 & Tax. I had the speedometer converted to MPH and top speed delimited. It was fitted with Toad CAT1 Alarm & Immobiliser fitted. It was given a full under body Waxoyl. I then took the car to Subaru specialists “The Engine Tuner” who fitted it with a Cosworth panel filter, Milltek cat-back exhaust and remapped the car to 349.1HP (with Dyno printout). The bodywork has had a full front end respray, roof and roof rails, rear bumper and aero spats all professionally painted in OEM 51E Aspen White. The wheels have been refurbed and sprayed in Santorini black metallic LRC82. I also had the headlights polished. The wing mirrors and front grill have been wrapped in gloss black. I wanted the Brembo brake callipers to look as good as the body work, so sent them to Subaru specialists Scoobyworx who stripped them down, removed the old seals, cleaned inside, shot blasted, powder coated, decals applied, clear coat powder coating and put new seals in. The brakes are immense and look fantastic The car is serviced regularly and has had a new clutch fitted Jan 2015, full service in May 2015 including rear pads, oil, air & pollen filters, all fluids & oils, a/c top up and the steering rack was overhauled June 2015 I had 4x Bridgestone Potenza S001 XL fitted and 4 wheel laser geometry/alignment in March 2015 It has just touched 81000 miles with comprehensive service history and bills for modifications and servicing totalling over £5000. I have the Original JDM handbook and paperwork. It comes with 2 keys and 2 immobiliser fobs. There are a few stone chips commensurate with the vehicles age I have pics if required. The car is only ever run on Shell V max or Tesco 99. The car wants for nothing, turns heads and pulls like a train. It has the practicality of five doors and a huge boot alongside sports car performance. Car is priced to sell, only very close offers invited. I’m not interested in PX as I’m selling to start a new car project. To view the car please bring full photo ID and proof of Insurance. I am in no rush to sell the car and will not entertain tyre kickers or test pilots. 24. Hi, my 93 WRX import has been running a rough idle and hesitation for a while now without any engine light coming on. Last week the engine light finally triggered and using the connectors under the dash I managed to get code 22 out of it which I believe is the knock sensor. I took the old sensor out and it has 2 or 3 cracks through the plastic so I can safely assume its pretty terminal. Over the weekend I picked up a 2nd hand knock sensor from a Subaru breakers as I wanted to try and get the job done yesterday. Fitted it but it appears to make no difference, still got rough idle and engine light on the dash. I tried hooking up the diagnostic connectors under the dash again in an attempt to reset the ECU but this was still flashing up as code 22. I have checked the voltage on the wire that the knock sensor plugs into and I'm getting 5 volts. When the knock sensor is plugged in I only get about 3 volts from the metal off the bottom of it. So my question well questions are is that a normal reading? Should the voltage drop like that or is the sensor I picked up no good? Have I missed something with the ECU reset? Do I need to unhook the battery for 24 hours or is there an easier and quicker way to do it? I am nowhere near an electrician but trying to learn the tricks as I go along so any help, hints, tips, kick in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.
  25. This is replacement for remote entry key for JDM Foresters 97-02. Can be programmed to the old key or if you lost your key, can be programmed to your car. Blank blade can be cut to match your old key. 80$. By the way, I am from Canada and I know this key wont work with USDM cars. Actually US and Canadian Foresters dont have fob integrated with the key (and work on dif frequency). My question to you guys, do your Foresters have the same keys like Japanese (left on the pic) cars or North American? As far as I know, Euro models are more similar to JDM than USDM. Greetings.
