classic steve
Hi all. Need a drop of advice. Had my current subaru for about 5 months. Waited a fair while to find this scooby. V clean and well looked after example of a jdm v5 sti. With a recent api complete rebuild totalling near on 4k. Im now unsure whether to let her go and perhaps go toward a ford focus st. Wondered if anyone had any pros and cons for the st over my sti. Thanks guys. Steve
Gambit
I've had a mk1.5 ST170 nice car liked it but I had to choose a car to sell as you can guess the st170 was sold. unless you can't get on with the scoob or the maintenance is maybe a bit to offten for your liking I don't think it would be a good choice not easy car's to replace the scoob. Especially if yours is in as good a condition as what you have said.
classic steve
Im pretty handy with the maintenance. Had virtually no issues with my scoob. New set of plug leads is all ive done on it. Touch wood. lol. Im tempted with the st 225. Seems like most ive toyed with have high mileage or a cat c or d. Ive had a uk classic and a bugeye previously and once i got enough cash together i bought another scoob. Think ive answered my own question. lol.

Jay762
we have another thread on here where the chap has gone back to his Focus ST - a short debate has followed - they both have their merits but I think it would be unfair to compare a more modern st with an older scooby other than 4wd vs 2wd
classic steve
Ive grown up with fords. From mk1 xr2, rs turbos, escort cabs, sierra 4x4, xr3is. So many poor escorts ended up in my garden. lol. Do enjoy my scooby. It always puts a smile on my face. Its one of those prediciments. Will i ever be satisfied unless i try. Hindsight is a gift. lol.

Dino
Ford = Fraud - not really "super" cars other than those built in the USA. Ford's always use more fuel than they say.
quit
they never made anything super have they other than the first GT40?
