Scoobyghost
I use the same ones as in that video.
Gambit
I'll stick with Rally Dirt for now then :D
confusedbrog
I've been playing it mines done that Daft thing where the steering locks the wrong way. It's not as refined As forza but there is a few things I like about it so far
Scoobyghost
I started to enjoy it when I finished the karts but there's far too many issues for me to keep playing it.
confusedbrog
The kart racing is awful. I've been playing gt3 class online that's not too bad. I don't thInk I'll bother with career mode too much
Scoobyghost
I missed the shops today being on the family rounds so I'll thrash a couple more aspects of career mode.
Gambit
Just got a PC version to try it was more shocked my G'card could play it will have to update it soon. But same on the PC huge problems with the controller's. Seems it's with all gamepads across all the platforms should have the G27 here tomorrow will have it a blast on that I think. But I'm with Brog few things I like about it but can't see this beating Forza or Gran Turismo at the minute :(
Gambit
How's people getting along with it now ? Now I have the wheel and pedals game has come into it's own really enjoying it. I'm going to give that Assetto Corsa another look.
savage bulldogs
I've had minor sound lag (split second with no sound) and it crashed once and the ps4 turned itself off . But other than that I'm quite enjoying still working my way up the ranks and almost finished my second season . Fav handling car so far during career mode was a big old beemer in the m1 cup
Scoobyghost
I enjoy it in the same way I enjoy darksouls. I can imagine a wheel makes a world of difference.
Gambit
I've not even started career mode just been doing my own setup races at the minute. And the wheel feels loads better the controller once I'd got it set up right was better but I think it does need a wheel.
confusedbrog
Which wheel did you get gambit? I've fancied one for a while I might get one when forza 6 comes out
Scoobyghost
I keep meaning to get one.
confusedbrog
When I've looked at some of the lap times on forza rivals in unmodified cars and I can't get within 8 seconds of the fastest lap I'm sure that a wheel is the way forward.
Gambit
I got the G27 mate, Only used it on PC so far and is highly regarded as one of the best wheels. I love the 6 speed gear shifter though but as the video shows can use flappy paddle but I always forget to clutch with the flappy paddle. playing Forza 5 https://youtu.be/iGh0Rerix50
Scoobyghost
I'm gonna get a wheel for forza 6 and hopefully by then they will patch a few issues on project cars I'll pick it up again.
Gaulson
I sold project cars, got fed up with it. I know you say its like the dark souls of racing, just lacks the motive for me to get better and see past the faults. I've been playing dirt rally, now that's an awesome game
Gambit
Thought I'd do a video not racing though as it takes too long :D but this is using the G27 wheel and after using the controller feel it was what the game was based around really. I also think it wasn't ready for retail release still but enjoying the game. https://youtu.be/ZeEiBoBWsDg
confusedbrog
Good video. You can see how much smoother the steering inputs are compared to replays with a normal controller. You get a lot more control when you need smaller steering inputs. If I really get into this next forza I'll get a wheel.
Gambit
Cheers yeah I noticed with the controller once the car lets go you can't recover it, well that's how it felt. On the 2nd lap even though didn't look to bad on the video I hit the rumble strip and it bounced me so had to correct it now I had to fight with the wheel pretty hard to get it back but it is possible :) And I definitely think the game was based around a wheel. Scoobyghost
Nice one Gambit. Definitely need a wheel for this. You can see how much better the car handles and its a lot smoother. With a controller it seems to only recognise on/off steering so I find my self flicking the stick. Time to go wheel hunting [emoji1]
Scoobyghost
Found myself a cheap hori racing wheel. It'll do the job for £15. Just need to find project card cheap now.
Gambit
One I have isn't cheap but it's great I do like it. proper 6 speed gear shift and clutch just add's to the experience for me. Dpes have flappy paddle too but doesn't feel the same :D I'm tempted to get one of the proper gaming bucket seats once I've got the car sorted and paid up Brock :D
Scoobyghost
I take it back. This game is something else with a wheel! Its really a different game to when I used the pad. Still has the sound issues. Paid £15 for my wheel and £25 for my game. [emoji5]
Gambit
It's good isn't it :D I'm sure it was made around using a wheel and not a pad.
