Thanks guys...

As I am no mechanic I am going to let TGM who are a motorsport specialists have a look Monday. I am hoping its either a clogged cat or a faulty boost solenoid. I will let you know the outcome .... good or bad!

How much experience do they have with subarus?

even though they are mainly a Honda specialist they build and run their own race cars and have done several front cover Impreza's. They also work closely with Surrey Rolling Road who have a specialist so i am confident of their abilities to resolve.

On a separate note the car passed emissions at the weekend so that clears the CAT, next is MAF

So it appears the issues ARE with the CATS. I am just trying to rally around to get the two decat pipes before Thursday so they can be fitted in time for racedynamix to tune on Friday

Where is the primary cat? I have a decat downpipe from the turbo and i guess the other is in the up pipe?

No cat in the up pipe on the hatchbacks.

So where is the cats on the wrx? one on the downpipe and other in the mid pipe?

Prob same way as you did ghost [emoji38]

Think it's only one in the downpipe total on wrx might be 2 both in the same place. You should be able to see under the car I remember seeing one.

Don't know what you're talking about. [emoji9] [emoji9]

If you don't have one on uppipe the only cat will be in the down pipe. If that's decat then you would fail an emissions test.

Who needs an MOT if you do not live in the country?

Im fully decatted then :) I have no clue why mine seems sluggish then, its got a uprated fuel pump / full exhaust / intake / uprated intercooler etc

The sti only has one in down pipe

But the STI has a catted uppipe surely?

Think they stopped the catted up pipes after the cats fell apart and got sucked into the turbo.

I have learnt something new today :)

So decats have been installed and power seems to have improved from 2-3.5k rpm but then dies which we think is down to it now needing a remap. The dash then went like a Christmas tree with all the lights including the MAP and Boost sensor error message but the garage reset this and they haven't come back on. i am hoping the decats have corrected the boost issue and with the remap it will go back to how it is was.

The final final issue is now the stupid noise this car makes.... i sound like a wannabe rally driver.

And the 2ndary O2 won't have a value it can work out
