quit Posted November 22, 2015 Posted November 22, 2015 Esl out a post on Facebook advertising mapping courses 1 day @ £100 ! Always been into this any interest to join me ? 1
Jay762 Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 Possibly - when is it? - do you have the link?
stants Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 Yes very interested as been looking at this for a while. Saw these chaps a while back http://www.tdi-plc.com/road-car-optimisation/engine-management-calibration/ Can you put up the fb link matt ? 1
GeoffLeggy Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 Copy and paste the FB webpage address from the browser bar. Here, in reply to topic, click the chain type looking icon with the + sign, just under the size bar and paste the address in to the box that comes up 'URL'.
quit Posted November 23, 2015 Author Posted November 23, 2015 I don't use Facebook on a browser , use phone only
Jay762 Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 @Matt - what is the ESL facebook page called - done a search but cant find the ESL page??
stants Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 Found it https://m.facebook.com/EnduringSolutionsLtd/
Jay762 Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 nice one Stants - looks like they will be sorting something - have liked page so hopefully I will also be in the loop :)
stants Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 I've expressed an interest so will wait and see
savage bulldogs Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 It's a shame it's just esl as I'm running apexi ,otherwise I'd have probably gone too
quit Posted November 23, 2015 Author Posted November 23, 2015 Yeah I don't know / remember my password for face book
quit Posted November 24, 2015 Author Posted November 24, 2015 It's a shame it's just esl as I'm running apexi ,otherwise I'd have probably gone too yeah my mate is using apexi on his beetle project, he is thinking he might try take what he learns to use on datalogit
savage bulldogs Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 I'll still leave the base map to attowe but it would be nice to be able to tweek mods in myself .As the hand controller monitors most parameters I just need to get a afr gauge set up and some det cans [emoji6]
stants Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 Looks good for the discount on the cables, 200 sheets is a bit steep so if they are offering them cheaper all good,
quit Posted November 24, 2015 Author Posted November 24, 2015 if you buy a ECU normally they sell you one for about 90
stants Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 Yeah I got dunc to supply and fit mine when he mapped it, I did speak to esl and they said they'd do me one at a discounted rate for a Limited time, already have evoscan to log and check knock etc so thought unless I actually knew how to use it properly it would have been a tons worth of cable that I could do just about the same as the other one with,
Jay762 Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 It would be more the theory I would be interested in - what to look for etc - this you could apply to maps in general
stants Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 I reckon it is, as like you say Jay it's all pretty much the same across the board once you have the knowledge
savage bulldogs Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 Simon roe and Clive attowe have run me through the basics of ignition timing and boost duty cycles. So it's really just the fuel map scaling I need to understand better (hence the need for afr gauge) . It's definitely something that I would be keen to learn but I need to spend the cash on getting my project pushing the power I'm after, before splashing out on the software and cable to be able to fully map the current apexi ecu. Maybe this time next year rodders
quit Posted November 25, 2015 Author Posted November 25, 2015 yeah finding a data logit kit can be hard enough!
