Rps
Its because if its om the street burglars dont no which house the car belongs to to rob for the keys.i had this argument with them
Jamie_uk
That explains why putting mine in the garage didn't drop my insurance. I was always told it should but atleast it's not just me. Do a mr bean and put a padlock on the door. From reading the manual the Subaru system seems more than enough even has a sound sensing option. Been looking for a Tracker but had terrible Experiances with them at work showing things are in different country's to what they are and flattening the Battery fully after a few days standing. Pottsey13
I've been looking at ones which takes a Battery as I didn't want that to happen myself

Pottsey13
Ah right makes sense I suppose
Tidgy
More cars are taken by break ins and stolen keys than by the car being stolen by force nowadays. If someone wants it badly enough they will get it one way or another so i wouldn't worry too much. Plus the alarms nowadays are a darn sight better than the older ones
DAN@ADRIAN FLUX
Hi and welcome. If you do need any help with insurance either now or at renewal please feel free to drop me a line. Regards, Dan.
GeoffLeggy
It's all a load of backwards ballox! As Tidgy said if they want it they'll have it. You could spend as much as the cars worth on security and still have it gone and stripped in hours. Just go as best you can to put them off. Proper noise and wheel brace etc. O yes and keep your keys secure or hidden. Tell insurance EVERYTHING. Don't give them the excuse. I'm still thinking about the James Bond electrified system! !Removed! them !Removed!'s
savage bulldogs
I quite like the idea of a contract free Tracker like this one . http://www.suffolkalarms.co.uk/index_files/Contract_Free_Tracking.htm If someone manages to get past my security system and take my car . I'll know where it is and me and a few mates can go and "retrieve" it without bothering the police or my insurance company [emoji6]
Xander
Easy Tracker is an old iphone with Giffgaff or other pay as you go sim in. You can use apples find my phone system to track the phone / car. Has gps and everything built in plus a back up Battery. Just give it a power feed and hide it in the car.
muziqaz
To add what Xander mentioned, but I would go with cheap Google Android phone with pay as you go or even cheapest pay monthly for internet access. Default google Tracker is good enough, but for more feature heavy or precise tracking just get Lookout Security app. Their free account give enough features to track the phone. Just hide the phone somewhere where it can least likely be found and that's it. For more stress free, that you don't need to charge it day in and out, wire it to power outlet (I'm not an electrician, but shouldn't be hard to do that) for constant charging (again as mentioned by Xander :) ). Was quite often thinking doing it to my scirocco (or whatever I was thinking on buying few years back). Obviously iphone would work fine, but I was never a big fan of their GPS and map systems ever since they f***ed up with their Apple Maps app :D
savage bulldogs
Yeah a old phone would work too [emoji106] I do like the added benefit of being able to imoblize the engine and set a alarm off inside the car with a touch of a button [emoji6]
