I suspect the eBay ones will be inferior in EVERY way. Build quality, comfort, reliability etc...

You get what you pay for. I think the average price for a good set of coilovers is around the 600 mark

I wouldn't know from a technical point how they differ, but I agree with sandals. I'm a firm believer that 'you get what you pay for' and 'buy cheap, buy twice!'

I had a set of them cheap ones made the car a nightmare to drive was a horrible ride on the road every bump they would bang after 1 week they had rusted I would not advise anyone buy them as said you get what you pay for

As above if you are doing most of your driving on the road go for uprated shocks and springs.

- you could get adjustable damping if spent a little more on the struts, that will make a difference on the roads as when on the hardest setting they can be very firm

I would suggest KYB AGX anyway.

had cheap coilovers on a old vectra gsi was a nightmare!!! 

 

they are cheap for a reason

 

Decent set up all day long! KYB shocks are the kiddies i have them
