Full service completed with not one difficult bolt. I'm well impressed by just how well the previous owners have cared for the car. The water pump was in pretty good nick but I put the new one on anyway. Old one can go on the spares pile. Each plug has worn equally. No lean or rich running on any of them. Oil really did need changing but nothing untoward.

Oh and I apparently have variable valve timing? Can anyone explain this to me? I know my old car had it but that was n/a.

The ecu can advance and !Removed! the timing but doesn't have control over the cams until the later blobeye sti avcs heads (I think)

It does look like that engines been apart as the cam pulleys are a mixture of early cast and v3 onward plastic

There's no service history to suggest the engine has ever been apart. That's not to say it hasn't been done. But if you heard it you'd be shocked to hear it was on 160k miles now.

Been browsing wheels today... Found a set of 18" gunmetal grey for £500. Tyres come to near enough the same, ouch! Maybe in a couple months lol.

Also been to the lakes today, thought my luck was in and finally get to see a brz in the flesh but nope... Gt86

Yeah I think it does change the look alot, mine won't be blanked out like that though pretty sure as lenient as the police are around here with tints that would get me pulled :)

Actuall mot law states if it isn't fitted it can't be tested so if main beam has been fully removed it would be classed as a modification

I might look at flyeye them will see when I get them back from the sprayer but it also has the indicators blanked out too on the picture. I agree Gaulson pretty excited about seeing the final look. I have full faith in the sprayer too. Wasn't bothered about the messing about with doing them two colours. This rate I'll shelf the hawkeye conversion [emoji4]
