  1. nope i'm out?!?
  2. ok, yeh if theres no wires or pipes from the units sat on the shockers they mustn't be anything to do with that then so back to the original issue you should be fine with any after market unit
  3. i would be inclined to agree, 4 wheel drive vehicles are supposed to have the same rolling radius, if you have wider wheels at one end than the other then different tyre sizes are a must to get the correct radius but if all the wheels are the same width then the tyres must be too
  4. haha, man after my own heart, well played
  5. ahh right i see what you mean now, i think we have our wires crossed mate, the self levelling units on the suspension don't just adjust the shockers they use the signals to adjust the headlights, the motors are self levelling but they need the sensors on the shocks to know whats going on, if that makes sense?
  6. i was quoted £1500 for an import sti and also the exact same for a 3.0TD hilux surf import, yet from the same company was quoted £900 for a Porsche 997, my turbo 2000 is just over £300, i didn't get asked about alarm immobiliser or tracker for it whereas the import could only be insured with all 3 i have 10 years NCB and 1 sp30 speeding fine
  7. i'll try and stick around for this one lol
  8. ah ok cool, did know that was just using the knowledge i learned a couple of years ago for general cars fitted with them, cheers for the new info ;)
  9. i think when they are clean they are more aerodynamic with all the polish and wax on them
  10. sorry yeh, meant big  just so happens T is above G on the keyboard, stupid design imo
  11. sorry my mistake, i read that last line as there being oil in the water, my fault, skim reading
  12. does the car have factory fit hid lights? that's the only legal mot reason needed for self levelling, otherwise it's just a comfort thing, if your happy to sacrifice comfort (minimal difference) then i'd go for the cheaper ones, but if you have factory hid's then it's all down to the mot tester, if he wants to be strict he can fail hids of the correct requirements aren't met, they are self levelling suspension projector unit for the hid bulb headlight washers
  13. i'd love to build myself something like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c5YvxmVyrxc&ytsession=MKhwjBZkZLYcefIW5W7abd8s1M_hpoM1xCSHlGWN4_4CJTqdvyKF4ESYR9ON6fDyeitgcMh_X_i_jFSi0GtY165iOqzy-q1eSAHUWcLJp7pu-dk4Ypu-fNCZgBvFyDlI4womwagLpsERRqKxstIoXkR78e-dMcW-IGQNeUQE2kCc63YkJIy6Qy22X1k4tLJdZwM2yyG-JKZpUyUy75kUcII-YgzXYvW14aLSgX31pceGYTzM6ocaYjcUUTBOpPBDa3afTH2ztNCEczT_-jQAFfJLnpoZ0KqFkYTsonEBDLOfrRKwPOLJRxmnmmDa-6bAgbh4GGdL9A8yHIy3PVvdtARQXXtRAX5z0G4II3CWTv0M_FJIbGBuQzofnAFYKAjf8cCaaIhkg3uIRQFrWTUwP6YkbssEFDuH66O95wgFPRhaD7w5DqUMJisuKfMWu7jkuE74irILrS0yWZIXOaSQYP7Kg4cn2xpAe5LCe-cGnD5e9KJUkhRBwsyLejkeYbTedws6zmLN8dpm8PyvZwdaQvAgPbw-183-Jew4xFZStm5GnVWhTSm02KHDhQeEdzsO7asUO08fOnJY08ma5YNbNwTqK6Gl3nDqTeiLC0iecGVxwlm99sqxH5hsfBf61FOPvp2hypHK6r1u5sshsGQtxKWfKwaLixJP2Cv9E0kFivN482vyRWIBdy_KKdhagDAQtpeP6_0-uG9Rkrde_UsETowZvH4pxHnRqAKcJz_E2VyMZcr-BRVMTqkPd4CwKM8wn9r4EG0BzI7QPBuCvufsYmEJG1oPJV7Bcc9BN2oR4YjIgrYaGubSC5ZtYaXyrPIdFtiB5LPR6rWTzvKXzOAaydhbSb86Tseh&oref=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fwatch%3Fv%3Dc5YvxmVyrxc%26ytsession%3DMKhwjBZkZLYcefIW5W7abd8s1M_hpoM1xCSHlGWN4_4CJTqdvyKF4ESYR9ON6fDyeitgcMh_X_i_jFSi0GtY165iOqzy-q1eSAHUWcLJp7pu-dk4Ypu-fNCZgBvFyDlI4womwagLpsERRqKxstIoXkR78e-dMcW-IGQNeUQE2kCc63YkJIy6Qy22X1k4tLJdZwM2yyG-JKZpUyUy75kUcII-YgzXYvW14aLSgX31pceGYTzM6ocaYjcUUTBOpPBDa3afTH2ztNCEczT_-jQAFfJLnpoZ0KqFkYTsonEBDLOfrRKwPOLJRxmnmmDa-6bAgbh4GGdL9A8yHIy3PVvdtARQXXtRAX5z0G4II3CWTv0M_FJIbGBuQzofnAFYKAjf8cCaaIhkg3uIRQFrWTUwP6YkbssEFDuH66O95wgFPRhaD7w5DqUMJisuKfMWu7jkuE74irILrS0yWZIXOaSQYP7Kg4cn2xpAe5LCe-cGnD5e9KJUkhRBwsyLejkeYbTedws6zmLN8dpm8PyvZwdaQvAgPbw-183-Jew4xFZStm5GnVWhTSm02KHDhQeEdzsO7asUO08fOnJY08ma5YNbNwTqK6Gl3nDqTeiLC0iecGVxwlm99sqxH5hsfBf61FOPvp2hypHK6r1u5sshsGQtxKWfKwaLixJP2Cv9E0kFivN482vyRWIBdy_KKdhagDAQtpeP6_0-uG9Rkrde_UsETowZvH4pxHnRqAKcJz_E2VyMZcr-BRVMTqkPd4CwKM8wn9r4EG0BzI7QPBuCvufsYmEJG1oPJV7Bcc9BN2oR4YjIgrYaGubSC5ZtYaXyrPIdFtiB5LPR6rWTzvKXzOAaydhbSb86Tseh&has_verified=1
  14. jeez that's not good, gotta be a defective tyre surely, i'd write an email with pics to the manufacturer see if they can offer any compensation, explain what a bit part you play on many car forums and that you will spread the word about their shoddy products
  15. congratulations indeed guys, nice work, hope to meet some of you in the future events
  16. welcome aboard pal, hope you enjoy your stay, and nice looking motor too
  17. i've had cars in the past that i have removed them off and never had them fail
  18. welcome aboard fella, hope you enjoy your stay, nice collection of cars in the pic, look forward to chatting more at some point
  19. welcome aboard fella, feel free to have a look around and please enjoy your stay ;)
  20. welcome aboard pal, my little brother lives in oz and has had numerous commodores, some classic ones and an HSV too, awesome machines, i'd much rather have one of them than the VXR version we get here
  21. what about that metal putty stuff? i used some on a throttle body once, i was smoothing it down on the inside and making it more stream lined and larger and went through with the die grinder, i applied some metal putty and left it over night and it was solis as steel when i went back to it, i was then able to sand it down for a good finish too http://www.wickes.co.uk/metal-repair-epoxy-putty-50g/invt/243792/?source=123_74&tmcampid=104&tmad=c&tmplaceref=PPC_ggl_0006635&tmcustom=mkwid|W5fPyZGt_dc|pcrid|7531858372|match||plid|&gclid=CIbluOr93rkCFaTLtAod9mgAEQ

3M vinyls the best by far, that's what most of the good sign writers and vinyl wrappers use, also there are proper vinyl aplication tools available on ebay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/3M-BLUE-FELT-PRO-WRAPPING-SQUEEGEE-TOOL-4-Carbon-Fibre-Vinyl-APPLICATOR-/251323352634?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3a840a063a
  24. yeh me and Dogma stripped his old classic sport down not so long ago, there were 2 cats on that, pre cat and post cat, had it up the side of the house with the foresters system, gypo's came on the rob and took the exhaust part thinking it was the cats, dopey c**ts
  25. i'd just get some heavy duty cable ties, make sure there is enough slack at each end for any movement require and tie it up
