  1. Can't help with the wiring tbh as my alarm has the turbo timer function built in . If it was fitted to a classic might be worth giving them a call to see if the harness is still in the car they removed the timer from ?
  2. I ran a 5 speed pink box clutch in my uk turbo ,great bit of kit with oe pedal feel , the only issue I had running 350hp/320 flbs was I blew my classic 5 speed to bits [emoji23] my brv ran the 5 speed pink box in his 6 speed box @ 347 hp for 2 yrs without any problems [emoji6]
  3. The fronts will definitely just bolt in and your right about the door cards not fitting but I'm unsure about the rears . Any jdm saloon front seats, rear bench and door cards from V1 92 to v3 97 (full preface interior ) will be a straight swap. 98 to 00 jdm front and rear seats will fit but I'm unsure about the door cards. UK classic rear benches split so I'm not sure if they'll fit a jdm without modifications but the front seats are a straight swap. I've retained the original 94 sti aclantra trimmed door cards fitted some hatch sti front seats and ra jdm rear bench (happy medium between door cards and front seats) . Newage /hatch front seats will make you sit a bit higher than classic ones and they're not as "buckety" I had to make some brackets to fix the inner rear mounting points for the hatch sti seats but bug /blob/hawk fronts bolt straight in Have you thought about a full v3/v4 sti or v limited interior?
  4. make sure the all contact cleaner has evaporated and that the element is dry ,refit it and reset the ecu before you fire it back up . As the elements are very fragile and can break if knocked or burn out if they're wet when current passes through them
  5. Tbh I've never had to do a self code check in my 3yrs of scooby ownership and only ever had the eml come on after a iffy remap
  6. Have you done a ecu code check to see if it's now got any fault codes stored now the symptoms are back ?
  7. They do tend to suffer from wind noise due to the doors not having framework around the glass . Has it still got the front arch liners in situ and have you checked if the door cards have all their fixing clips intact? Some jdm models have wind deflectors but they're fairly rare as they go brittle and snap when removed
  8. Most code readers won't work on classic scoobs but you can check the codes yourself [emoji6] http://uk.subaruownersclub.com/forums/topic/2366-manually-reading-ecu-codes/page-1 Have you changed the spark plugs recently? Is there any breathing mods fitted (cone ,decat ect ) If you've got a boost gauge what does it peak at?
  9. I went for a rcm fuel pump not the cheapest but I didn't want to chance my arm with a cheap one [emoji6]
  10. Just picked up the last piece of the preface jigsaw, some preface headlights [emoji41] Might trail fit the preface front end next weekend , it won't be staying on the scoob for long though. As although the outside of the car has a black n silver theme I don't think I'll like the look of a completely black bonnet on my silver scoob [emoji57]
  11. Well thats a bit of good news for you stants [emoji4] If that unmapped high milage auto foz is worth 7k your tidy tastefully modded and remapped foz must be worth at least 12k[emoji41] Hope whoever buys it insures it correctly ,cos if they hit sombody else while doing doughnuts in mc'ds carpark the insurance won't pay out [emoji19] Think he needs a "check up from the neck up " [emoji57]
  12. The boost pill is in the vacumm lines between the actuator, turbo outlet vacuum and the boost solinoid (the exact location varies depending on version of scoob ) It's basically a narrow hole that the vacuum pressure squeezes through to keep it flowing at a steady pressure while the engine is under different loads ie uphill fully laden car would produce a different inlet manifold pressure to a unladen empty car going downhill at the same revs in the same gear ,which in turn will affect how the vacuum boost control system would respond (reducing the risk of over boost) There's a list of oe restrictor pill positions and sizes I put up on here (somewhere) and once you know what size and where it should be they're normally cheap and relatively available at subaru main dealers
  13. Easy enough to do once the cam covers are off bud . they're made from rubber so they go hard and brittle and eventually weap , especially the one near the upipe due to the heat. I bought a new full oe cam cover set from import car parts as they're about the cheapest for genuine oe gaskets . I smeared a light bit of liquid three bond on all the seals but as long as the oe seals ain't squashed (bolts over tightened) and both surfaces are Uber clean with no deep scratches they shouldn't leak for another 50k + or until they go brittle again
  14. The earlier wrx and sti models have separate coil packs that sit on top of each of the spark plugs and those are for the fixing bolts . They're unused on the later uk and wrx based varients which have a single coil pack attached to the inlets Make sure you get the correct version rocker cover gaskets for your scoob and replace the "half moons " at the back of the cams at the same time [emoji6]
  15. I used a standard compound pagid pad with my old godspeed drilled n grooved discs which seemed to work well but did create a bit more "dust" than the previous harder compound kevlar pads though
  16. As long as the discs are the same diameter and thickness standard discs standards pads will fit fine fella but your better off to get new pads as the old ones will be worn to the same profile as the old discs [emoji6]
  17. Yeah the outside car cam on loeb looks twitcher than a rabbits nose but I managed to get my monies worth out of project cars and that took a bit of getting used to due to the feather touch controls without a wheel . Mind you I don't know if that's because I prefer a sim to arcade or cos I'm a stubborn tight ar5ed bstard lol
  18. Well didn't even make it back home from the airport car park without a grey haired old boy in a 58 plate skoda vrs over taking me in a national speed limit ,he had a big cheesy grin on his face as he passed which seemed to get the wife's goat lol she said " go on then you either wipe that smug look of his face or pull over in the next lay by and give me the keys " [emoji39] We ended up side by side at the next round about and by by old guy [emoji12] Definitely loving the slightly more stealthy sounding exhaust [emoji41] as once my point was proved and I reached the speed limit I eased off the gas ,he passed me shortly afterwards with more of a [emoji19] look (definitely wasn't a grin anymore lol) God I've missed my car [emoji4]
  19. Well now I'm back in blighty with some decent wifi I've had a squint at those vids and dirt rally definitely looks the pick of the bunch but without a release date for it i think I'll have to buy one of the other 2 to scratch my itch . With wrc 5 and loeb both set for release on the ps4 in October i think I'm gonna have to keep a close eye on YouTube to see which one polishes up the best closer to the time [emoji6] Cheers for bringing them both to my attention though chaps as I definitely need a good rally sim in my life asap [emoji106]
  20. Flying back from crete today ,holidays almost over [emoji53] Looking forward too ..... driving the scoob ,picking up the bulldog from the kennels, having a go on the ps4 and proppa bacon [emoji4]
  21. I fitted vibe kevlar components in the front and rear coupled with a vibe "space" 12" powered by a 2k kenwood amp which sounded awesome in my 3ltr v6 vectra [emoji55] the £800 set up lasted about 2 weeks in my first scoob then I sold it all and replaced it with a decent alpine head unit and vibe black series speakers front n rear. they're are great entry level speakers which don't drown out the scooby boxer sound track[emoji4]
  22. Long wait then [emoji53] Haven't played a decent rally game since v rally 2 on the ps2 or the first few of the mcrae series games weren't too bad but they went downhill Imo once Colin mcrae dirt was brought out . Don't even think the ps4 has a rally sim yet does it ?
  23. I was searching through a few face book gc8 pages and stumbled across gambit "coming " across a few scoobs [emoji39] Defo a pre planned attack but it made me grin [emoji4]
  24. This game looks awesome any idea if they'll be release on the ps4 and if so any idea of date yet ? As I've got a few driving games but nothing rally orientated [emoji53]
  25. Couldn't hear the audio on this vid so don't know what's being said but if you fast forward to 2 mins I'm sure gambit makes a appearance [emoji23] https://youtu.be/uH7yK4KmGCU
