  1. Best of luck persuading the Mrs bud [emoji39] I haven't really thought about what I'd accept as a offer as I've only just put them up for sale . I was going to include the nearly new pagid pads and if sombody wants the warped discs (to re skim em) but if you can charm your Mrs round to going maybe we can sort something fella [emoji106] Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  2. A few off my local scooby city forum are heading to this and I think 2 of the blob sti's might be offering passenger hot laps as well as loads of other motors Few details here http://www.on-your-marks.info/ I'm busy but it looks like a good day out so thought I'd post it in here incase anybody else is interested Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  3. Thats the beauty of the ss piston kit they wont rust and seize [emoji6] Shame your not going to jap show next Sunday as I could have brought them with me Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  4. £4k [emoji33] Should have brought it down to sunny Suffolk I'd have supplied and fitted a 6 speed and pink box clutch for £3k [emoji4] Which would have left you £1k for road tax ,tarts and booze Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  5. I'm not 100% sure if the braided lines will fit anything else maybe cross reference the gc8 part numbers with some newage ? I have had both 2 pot front and single pot rear set up (v1 onwards) And the 4 pot front 2 pot rear up (late classic sti /newage wrx) So the caliper end of the lines fit both set ups but I don't know if the length or "car end" is the same for newage or foz and classic sorry Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  6. I've got the 4 pot calipers off my own scoob due to upgrading . These were refurbished with a godspeed stainless steel piston kit (£120 just for the kit ) 8k ago . Could do with a coat of paint but all seals pistons ,threads and fitting kit in very good condition . SOLD Front n rear stainless steel (think there Goodrich) braided lines off my classic £15 SOLD Whiteline pigtail front droplinks for classic impreza /early foz with steel bottom arms £15 Genuine momo course steering wheel and boss ,the soft leathers lost a bit of colour at the top of the wheel (sun bleached) but otherwise good condition £80 collected 5zigen jasma slip jointed cat back very rare, light weight and well made comes with a bung ,will fit classics with standard length downpipe with a 2.5 exit flange. £200 +p&p Don't l mind posting the lines or droplinks for £5 mainland UK but would prefer collection from Suffolk for the calipers. or I could bring any of the above to jap show [emoji6] More pics on request Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  7. Shame it's not classic fitment I'd have snapped that up (over £400 new) Glwts Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  8. Do you mean do they do a seal kit for the hydraulic clutch slave cylinder? Bit unsure what part you mean ,bud Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  9. Been there done that lol Might be worth picking up a spigot bearing for the flywheel and a laser clutch alignment tool from Halfords Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  10. Tbh I wasn't really keen on hawks
  11. Sounds like you probably pushed the crank seal in to far Sam .... As i did the same thing when I fitted mine they're supposed to flush with the start of the chamfer around the recess the crank seal sits in ,although it doesn't say that in the engine manual [emoji57] Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  12. Nice shiny bits tidge[emoji4] Are you going to keep the 2.5 twin scroll set up ? Or single scroll with a 2ltr sump ? Either way it will be a rapid classic bud, nice choice [emoji106] Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  13. I've already paid for and got my ticket to get in ,will you send me my stand pass and details or are you meeting somewhere Sunday morning to hand em out ? Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  14. Took it to a charity car show we had a nice variety of cars on the stand my v1sti ,v3 sti v limited ra, v5 sti, usdm and uk bugs ,jdm/UK sti blobs ,hawk spec C and spec D ,veilside supra and a 500+ftlb fair lady . All sorts of motors there from us muscle to old school fords and porkas to lotus didn't take many pics but this spec C was a minter Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  15. Keep it up fellas yer gifs are making me grin
  16. Nice of you to say so stants but I've made, painted and converted loads of bits under the bonnet myself to try and keep costs down/myself busy (pics do tell lies ) it would look neater if I'd have bought "off the shelf" and had the painted bits powder coated but I haven't got the spare £'s or equipment some people have kicking around to achieve a perfect finish . I've learnt a lot and enjoyed myself along the way , so much so I'm considering building a decent size work shop and getting some spraying equipment to tackle the bodywork and tidy a few things up Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  17. Dunno if it's quite as mint as I'd like it to be but after all it's 21 yrs old and hasn't had any paintwork (yet) Tbh I was quite surprised at the amount of people taking pics and asking questions about it today at the car show[emoji41] I'll probably never be happy enough for it to be finished but It was the oldest and loudest scoob there
  18. Had a great day out today loads of nice motors of all different marques didn't take to many pics but here's a couple of the scooby city stand ,1 of my old girl and a couple of the white spec c with only 8k miles on from new [emoji41] Mint spec c Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  19. Cheers gambit Braking's a bit "soft" when the red stuff pads are cold although they do still out perform the 4 pots . But When they're warm I lose everything off the passenger seat, especially as I haven't got abs
  20. I bought the firestones on here just cos the ratings seemed good and the tread pattern looked good lol http://www.mytyres.co.uk/cgi-bin/rshop.pl?dsco=110&cart_id=18510429.110.28387&sowigan=So&Breite=215&Quer=45&Felge=17&Speed=W&kategorie=6&Marke=&ranzahl=4&tyre_for=&x_tyre_for=&suchen=Show%20tyres&sort_by=preis&rsmFahrzeugart=ALL&search_tool=standard&weiter=60 They've got toyos on there if you want something soft n sticky , que gambit
  21. Hi and welcome If they're getting hot quick without heavy use and squealing I'd guess that somethings seized. Most of the braking is done by the front so the rears should be cooler than those as a rough guide What year ,make and model is it ? As if it has a floating 1 pot rear caliper they're quite prone to seizing if not maintained Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  22. Don't feel bad bud the cheap free fixes are the best ones Imo Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  23. Is the car a sti if not did you fit a matching rear diff ? Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  24. Do you know when it last had a rear different oil change and have you checked the rear different oil levels lately ? I think it's quite unusual for both rear bearings to go at once so you'd normally get a "humming" noise when cornering (when the worn side is under load) try Jacking the back up and check for any top to bottom and side to side play in the rear wheels and give your rear tyres a visual check while it's in the air Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
  25. Good shout with faulty vac and a solinoid clean ,might be worth checking the spark plug condition and gaps too bud . Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
