I was quite lucky tbh rick as this ex andy forest ported reversed inlet and alternator relocation brackets came up for sale for £150 as it needed some tlc I did have to hack a leg off the alternator and prep n paint everything but the end result works . After changing the vac lines and sorting the fmic pipework I took it for a blast up the carriage way to check for boost leaks ...... No wonder I left the porshe boxter s for dust I seem to be running a bit more boost than the 1.1 bar it's set at [emoji5] 1.43 bar peak on the apexi f.c controller [emoji33] [emoji16] [emoji12]
  5. I bought my stuff direct off their website and it gives you a option for which grade you want .their ally pipework is good quality and shiny too [emoji5]
  6. most silicone hoses come in 2 grades solid rubber walled for vacuum lines and mesh reinforced for coolant and boost. although some companies offer another grade for oil and petrol, if it's just a simple straight length or single bend have a look on the Auto Silicone Hoses website (dam site cheaper than samco)
  7. Did try to blag April the 25th in Skegness for our anniversary [emoji4] but soon as the mrs found out about a car show near there that was the end of that idea [emoji19] Otherwise we alternate between greek or spanish island's every year ,so we're off to crete in august

  9. Had the bits from ash turn up today so set about tidying up the fmic core to throttle body pipework . Although it was functional it was temporary as it was made mainly of cut up bits of the old pipework without the swaged ends at the joins . The fmic pipework passes up and (almost) rests against the bottom rad hose in most impreza kits so I lagged this section of pipework while it was off Much happier with it being permanent, now time to think about shortening the turbo to core side [emoji6] just not sure about the new black vac lines , think I should have got blue [emoji4]

  13. majik it's by no means show standard just a hobby that keeps me out of the pub at weekends . being a 21yr old car it's got it's fair share of carpark scars and it's a daily, so normally full of sweet wrappers/mud . It wasn't to hard to flip the inlet as a lot of v1 to v4 components are compatible . It's a v1 running a v3 tps, v3 icv and throttle body I simplified the vac /intake pipework buy deleting the fuel vapor lines , purge valve and charcoal cannister . If you fit Parallel braided fuel lines and billet rails you normally remove those anyway [emoji6]

  15. I went for red vac lines with the blue inlet and blue coolant hoses on my v3 Tmic But the hdi fmic had blue silicone joiners I've ordered some black vac lines to fit in the v1 bay now as ive changed the inlet colour and used some more blue silicone rerouting pipes and fitting the catch can
  16. Has the dv (blue thing) got a vacuum pipe attached to the end? Otherwise it might go to the purge valve under the inlet
  17. I ordered 1mtr of 3mm (already got 1mtr) and 2 mtrs of 6 mm . My Quantities are Probably not much use (due to my custom set up) but 2 of my boost solenoid ports are 6mm id . So double check the dia of yours bud
  18. Crystals were standard equipment on all classic models v5 onwards (I've got 2 spare pairs lol) I know Angel eye's can vary in value pending on quality but I couldn't tell you what they're worth as I've never looked into them tbh

  20. It's a possibility as if the knock sensors faulty and giving a incorrect reading the ecu might pull out timing to compensate for the excessive knock .
  21. I'll check my spares over the weekend as I'm fairly sure tdo4's and tdo5's use the same actuators. I've got 3 actuators In the scooby spares shed one of them being off a tdo4 , so probably don't need it but it just looks soo shiny [emoji4] have you got a part number or a link to where you bought it from as id like some info as to what bar it's good for and whether it's a original or a copy . Sorry for all the questions ,especially as I'm not a 100% sure if I need it, but I don't want to end up with a expensive paperweight if it won't fit my set up [emoji6]

  23. Sorry to hear you might be forced to sell up [emoji19] Have you got any pics and part numbers for the actuator ? Don't think it will fit my tdo5 16g as it's actuator looks like the tdo4 one but might be interested if it does fit [emoji6]
  24. Had a quick squint and the boost solenoid vac lines are as above . This is a pic of my old phase 1.5 inlet but the fuel pressure regulator is in the same place at the end of the drivers side fuel rail . Bottom right in the pic vac line runs from inlet to fpr (looks a bit like a mini actuator)
  25. Looks like it goes to the fuel pressure regulator . I'll have to check tonight but I don't think the boost solenoid should be directly plumbed into the inlet (map sensor maybe ) Boost solenoid Top port turbo outlet Middle port actuator Bottom port intake pipe (black pipe between maf and turbo)
