Have you checked you haven't knocked a vacuum pipe off somewhere ? Does the butterfly shut fully ?
-
I've not tried to sell them anywhere else yet (ebay s.n ect) as I wanted the soc regulars to have first refusal and was unsure what I needed for my project . but next weekend what's left will probably go on ebay to clear some space . The tein coilovers are up for sale as well rick [emoji6] as unfortunately matts in the middle of fitting a new kitchen and can't afford them atm
-
I'll ask my brv if he'll do it a bit cheaper as it's got a couple of small marks on it (from what I remember ) . I'll update my sale thread and put some pics up of it at the weekend anyways

even once running I've still got to remove the suspension and brakes from the v3 and fit them to the sti , mot and mapping So doubtful tbh [emoji19] Must learn to stick to plan "A" which was just a reshell [emoji5] Ended up doing... the reshell Phase conversion Single coilpack conversion Reverse inlet Re route fmic pipework Alternator relocation throttle body coolant delete Canister delete Catch can tubular headers And a turbo conversion [emoji15] -

Rearranged the garden ornaments and Fitted a engine ,well almost fitted[emoji19] but at least it's in 1 of the scoobs now [emoji5] -
That's a shame it's in Surrey cos I'd love the use of a ramp now and then . Guess I'm stuck with the axle stands and blocks of wood for now

a few pics of my project so far

Pulled the v3 uk off the road and set about moving the mechanicals over to the v1 . Didn't take to many pics monday as my brvs been helping and we got stuck in fmic Rad Engine 6speed All out of the v3 [emoji4] Only managed to get the 6speed in the v1 as I had to convert the engine from the phase 1.5 v3 inlet and auxiliaries to phase 1 v1 . I'd converted the tdo5 to front entry and ported the exhaust housing and now need a top entry turbo [emoji55] so decided i wanted to switch hotsides (keep my ported housing) when I converted the turbo back to top entry Removed the ported headers and h&s upipe and fitted the gruppe headers and 4 bolt upipe , the reversed v1 inlet and top entry tdo5 last pics a bit !Removed! cos it was getting dark [emoji6] hopefully get the engine in situ and make a start on converting the fmic pipework and catch can tomorrow Cutting it fine for friday dyno day [emoji16] -
Sorry ash I thought I replied to you bud , I did use that muck off under the rear arches and in the bay to seal the paintwork, cheers Made a world of difference that stants [emoji106] is brush on stuff clear in colour ? As mine hasn't been undersealed but I like that I can see any rust issues and sort them , rather than black underseal hiding issues bitman I do use engine oil on black pipework but can't stand the smell of gearbox oil bud Also I use "shockproof" oil which is green [emoji19]

Mrs ain't to happy with the fen sui garden (even after all the hard work I did) but hey I like it as seeing all those Japanese scooby bits makes me feel quite serene [emoji39] -
I've got 1 without the sun roof you can have for free , but you'd have to come to suffolk to remove/collect it

I pulled the front bumper, fmic , rad, exhaust, engine and 6 speed out of the v3 Only managed to fit the box in the v1sti and create a large fen sui Japanese garden feature for the mrs[emoji1] I only took 1 pic at about 10 this morning Another busy day tomorrow [emoji4] -
Yes the fueling will need rescaling due to the cc increase from bigger injectors , so best fitted the day before the re map with the turbo and any other mods. Then only drove off boost until remapped

Rough guide If it's classic Grey 380cc (290 hp ish ) Yellows 440cc (350 hp ish) If it's newage Blue 440's (I think) 340hp ish Pink 550's (400hp ish) Of course depending on what cams and surporting mods .

My Scooby now sounds like a Scooby!!

Nice choice looks good [emoji106] Same First 3 performance mods I did, watch out though cos it's a slippery slope [emoji39] -
Andy forest owns one of the fastest scoobs in the uk . He Also owns a tuning company which sells most things as well as hybrid turbos (which spool quicker than stock turbos) and he's a respected mapper Stock Tdo5's will spool a bit later (400 rpm ish) than a tdo4 Unless you fit surporting mods with the tdo5 like matched upipe , tubular headers ect ... Google "Andy forest" and have a squint at his site bud

Sound's like bearing to me due to the increase in noise when that side is under load while cornering . It's easy enough to remove the rear hub, brakes and handbrake assembly but you will need to get the bearings pressed out and new ones in again (with a hydraulic press) So will probably need a garages help at some point but could save a bit on labour costs removing the hub yourself
-
There's a fair bit of difference between the newage wrx's and sti's other than the look of interior , exterior styling . Sti's have bigger brakes , stronger 6 gearboxes (almost handle twice the power) stronger forged engine's with sti cams , stiffer suspension . if you're intending on modifying for power imo a sti is better starting platform . On the other hand a mapped wrx will be faster than a standard sti , so really it's down to what your going to want to do to it , as plenty of wrx owners have enjoyed modding their wrx's and didn't want to just "buy" a faster car Whichever you choose just continue to be patient and have a good look about

Just caught up with dogs escapades and ... !Removed! hell " if it wasn't for bad luck you wouldn't have any luck at all " fella Hope the mrs and scoob are on the mend soon buddy . Best of luck with the back "magic" Back surgery always sound's a bit daunting but a friend of mine had 4 pins put in his back due to a old injury "setting" wrong [emoji33] 4 months after the op he was so much better he passed his second dan black belt karate grading [emoji41] Best of luck to you both . As for me and my subarus today I'll be mostly.... Assembling a reversed inlet manifold, fuel lines, engine loom ect and cleaning up phase 1 auxiliaries ready for the big week ahead [emoji6] -
It's a toyo sports one There's some pics on my for sale thread (it's not been cleaned yet) but the back box will polish up nicely and it's not ovr loud due to the resonator box
-
I've got a full 3" decat turbo back but you'd have to have the whole thing , due to the sections being different lenght to standard systems .
