  2. we had a member that had bought a car and updated with a bootleg disc it stopped it working until he got an original version. I'm guessing they have some sort of key encryption. Not impossible I'm sure to get round it but unless you know what to do.

  5. Had something like this happen with a car I sold to some dope heads from Hull. Came and bought the car on a Sunday about 3 to 4 hours later Police on the phone asking if I had sold the car as it was involved in an accident. Luckily I had proof of the sale and they had court the driver running from the scene. :( As you can guess monday morning sent off the slip to DVLA and rang my insurance straight up.
  6. A real pain in the !Removed! to do but if you're confident enough to do them yourself I'd save the money but that cost does seem a lot of money for spark plugs to be changed. Is that a mainstealers ?
  7. Hi mate welcome to S.O.C I think the I drive isn't working with the ECU light on as it's like a safe/limp mode. Best bet is getting the codes read mate just to be sure. Three ways you can do it get a bluetooth dongle http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2060778.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0.H0&_nkw=OBDII&_sacat=0 and the app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.prowl.torque&hl=en_GB will let you read and delete the codes. or if it's new return it if it has warrenty left for the garage to fix it Or if you have a friend in the business that can read them for you. But be grateful if you let us know what the outcome is
