Looking nice mate can't beat a nice pair of new shoes :D Bit like the UK 300 alloy's I have.

No mate they should be left disconnected unless you are reading the error codes :) And I think a auto electrician is best bet if you're not confident enough to pull bits out and have a look around but still might end up needing one. I'm not great with stuff like that either :D

A query about my rear end...
You're welcome. Does sounds like it has paid off having the prang in a strange way But at least they found it and admitted to not sending it. And glad it's all back on the road in one peace :D Just remember not to reverse in that petrol station again ;)

No problem mate we have some Videos that was made for us here But you need to go to Photobucket or some place like that, that lets you host pictures and you upload it to their site once it's done you need to copy the direct link come back here us the tree looking icon about where you type to reply post it into the new pop up window and press ok. It's really easy :D

I had the woman in the shop say she can't believe they make my car to sound like it does :D I did point out that they don't come as standard like it. Some people just don't appreciate the finer things

Knock sensor
Not 100% sure what it will do but I imagine to drive a car without one would be awful Jerking/stutter, over fueling, sluggish in hardly any power at times. I could be wrong but thats what I would think would happen.

Do you have a boost gauge I'm guessing here that it had one and there should be a T piece in the last picture, picture 5 and the 3 bits of vacuum hose connect to the T piece. That is just a guess from the picture though. and pic's 2 and 3 I'm not sure what I'm looking at sorry :(

2008/9 Legacy 2.0D what to look for?
Not fully upto date with the new Legacy but Headgasket would be main worry really, but from what I have read and seen most people love them and not had many problems with them. And welcome to S.O.C
