  1. it's the overall circumference of the tyre, so 1 revolution of your tyre now will cover distance 'x' a new alloy with different size tyre will be 'y', so if 'y' is 10% longer than 'x', you will travel 10% further with each revolution, so if your speedo says 70 and you are doing 70, with the wheels 10% bigger your speedo will still say 70, but, you will be doing 77 215/60/16 = (60% of 215mm = 129mm) x2 + (16" = 406mm) = 129 +129 + 406 = 664mm x pie = 2087 215/45/17 = 97 x2 + 431 = 625 x pie = 1964 so, new tyres will be about 6% smaller than the old ones, so if your speedo says 60, you'll only be doing 56 have a look on here http://www.willtheyfit.com/
  2. hi mate welcome to the club it's got to be worth changing just for a piece of mind hope you can get some sensible insurance sorted
  3. when I heard earlier I got a tear in my eye, one of my favourite comedians. young ones was great, but bottom was fantastic, I still watch it now and I still crack up laughing RIP

  5. I was gonna come through but got stuck in traffic on my way home from Nottingham. Queued up past thoresby and clumber then found out the A1 was shut. Went down the A57 and queued up for ages and then found out that was shut too somehow ended up in tickhill [emoji54]

  10. I bought a mangle 2 weeks ago, but it had the handle missing. So today I made a handle for it and plain'd the bow out of the rollers. It will make it easier washing the car, I just need to get my finger out now
  11. It's still ****, nearly 3 hours and not done latest part.
  12. On my blobeye it says 5 years or 60k miles
  13. Been out for a drive, I think it's all sorted now. New brakes seem to be bedding in well too
  14. Today I've just fitted a new fuel level sender unit in the petrol tank, let's hope it sorts the erratic level indications out, half tank showing but fuel light on, the 10 seconds later needle is at bottom but light isn't on. CEL has been on and off too, showing over voltage to the sender unit.
  15. Yesterday I replaced the front discs and pads and then went for a nice drive with the wife and we had a carvery in a nice little country pub.
  16. glad you got it sorted :D hope it all goes well and don't forget the photos
  17. Impreza wrx had td04, it was the sti that had the vf35 or td05
  18. you can get perrin wing stiffies, but they attach to holes fitted in the genuine spoilers, don't think the copies have the extra screw holes in
  19. my last blob had a copy spoiler and it used to flex quite a lot, it just depends how smooth the road is this blob has a genuine sti spoiler and it doesn't flex much at all, only obvious on bumpy roads
  20. I wouldn't raise the boost yet, with the mods that are done already you could run the risk of running lean and possibly damaging the engine with proper mapping the boost can be raised to about 1.2 bar (17psi) and with the induction kit being free flowing there can be more fuel added. it should be about 270bhp
  21. looking good lol @ tom . that should fill the gap up nicely
  22. I doubt the head gasket has gone. hope the sniffer test comes back ok
  23. hi mate welcome to the club
