  1. That's unfortunate, was there any damage or just a nudge? That's the only time I've hit another car, at a junction at about 2mph
  2. Let the fun and games begin I say, now just need to save up a bit. Might make it my birthday treat next month
  3. No paperwork and I think one of the previous owners had it all put on themselves but information has been lost a long the way
  4. Well things aren't looking good, my brother in law was told that the Subaru is Prodrive.... (Y pipe, ECU, Exhaust, Spoiler, Mud flaps). Seemed like this was legit because it has the spoiler and mud flaps in plain view. The exhaust however had been changed to an aftermarket stainless one but we have put the prodrive back box on again. The Y pipe is there BUT it isn't the Prodrive one. It's some other aftermarket Y pipe. So I then started doubting the ECU so as we are quiet at work I took a quick look and this is what I found: This isn't Prodrive is it? Don't know much about how you can tell what the ECU is. It's confusing though because it has "BHP Developments" on the back and there is a business card for some ECU tuning company but that doesn't mean much. I was bothered about tampering with a Prodrive car but seeing as it's not officially one then I may as well just go and take it to 300bhp :P
  5. Black Hawk Eye (I think) on my works estate... Creamery industrial estate Red Blob Eye... same again! Blue Blow Eye (I think) turning right at BP Garage on A6 (Turning to go towards Blackpool) at around 5pm last night Blue Type R (I think) parked outside "The Lunchbox" this morning at around 8:30
  6. Go out for the night and I have 50 notifications lol. Ash... bet you can't wait to get them fitted! James... At least with WRX suspension the ride is still going to be comfy, I had Prodrive suspension on mine and it was horrible!! Blackbosh... That's what i'm doing this weekend, completely stripping down the inlet and replacing pipes as well as fitting the boost gauge :D
  7. Been a couple of days now since the MAF was cleaned on my car and still running sweet so once the Vac and Exhaust leak have been fixed should be running spot on! Must have been like that all the time I've had it, also could be why my turbo seems to vary in spool up time.
  8. As long as he doesn't expect his car to come out in one piece, 400+ Subarus vs 1 Pug... haha. Be like one of them moments when you walk into a pub that's in the middle of nowhere and everyone goes quiet
  9. That is nice and shiny Gambit, I've had new Rads on my car and they do look a lot better when shiny :P Yeah, that bird will be in heaven now saying "I got killed by a Subaru doing 100... what did you get killed by? A Cat? HAHAHA"
  10. Sat looking at De-cat downpipes, turbos, injectors, fuel pumps and possible remap places... I really want to :( Looking forward to taking the inlet off and the turbo this weekend to have a look round, make sure everything is okay and replace any pipes or gaskets that are split/blowing :) NBO is close now, only a couple of weeks. It's going to be good but at the same time annoying because you know we will see things for our cars that make you think "That looks great, I want that" :P
  11. LOL! Tje, that sounds pretty nasty but quite funny at the same time. As above, check for leaks and watch temp gauge. James, you can't blame a show for making you work too hard ;) . It's your pefectionist mind doing that, I've just been looking at a new Turbo and exhaust manifold/downpipe/uppipe. Subarus are expensive things but thank for everything you do to them.
  12. You would possibly have to get rid of the aircon radiator to fit it
  13. When I had water in my lights we took them off, left them next to a dehumidifier. Worked a treat, not had any in since :). Round at my brother in laws, he took the MAF off and it was really dirty so cleaned it. Plugged it back in, started car and was waiting for it to warm up when we noticed whistling. Seems like the source of all my problems could be a vacuum pipe! Also my exhaust sounds like it's blowing near turbo. Both of these would be why it's not running so good AND why my fuel economy is rubbish. Looks like this weekend will be a busy one, going to take intercooler, inlet manifold and all that off the Subaru. May as well clean the engine bay up and fit the new hoses and the boost gauge at the same time :)
  14. Yeah makes sense now, it was running alright until it was properly warm then was back to normal, my brother in law said it's £170 plus VAT so not too bad I guess. I unplugged the MAF when I got home with the car running and it stalled so It's working just faulty. That's a fair job you have going, how long has it taken you to do it? Wouldn't have been able to do it near me, we have been having big storms all day!
  15. I'm about 75% sure that the suspension from a new age will not fit the classic shape
  16. EDIT: Just had to move my car to let someone out, so drove it round the block (with MAF plugged in) and it's running sweet again . I can only assume that unplugging the MAF has reset any errors the ECU has logged about it so now running as normal. Will see how it gets on with the drive home. Happy days if it's as easy fix as that!
  17. Right, unplugged MAF and started my car. This solved my stutter when my putting foot down, no delay now just revs up straight away. I was wondering, is it safe to leave it unplugged for the drive home to see if it really is the problem?
  18. I've been trying to figure out what it all is.... so far I'm guessing: Pic 1 - Intercooler and strut brace (Very nicely polished) Pic 2 - Washer bottle either replaced or painted (can just see the fuel filter in top left) Pic 3 - Intake scoop has been wrapped or dipped (awesome choice of colour)
  19. Looks like a good project, nice to have the parts at hand like that :)
  20. The sounds of the Nissan Skyline when it's on the limiter is one of my favorite parts! Just amazing. I loved the first one but never really got to play online but if we start a "Subaru Owners Club" on there it would be awesome I think.
  21. I have Panther Performance discs on mine, drilled and grooved.... must say it stops !Removed! quick when you want it to!
  22. That's a nice lap in the Subaru Gambit, much better than what I have managed so far lol. Will try racing it at a slow pace tonight to see how I do. Ages since I raced this track so can't remember the corner yet
  23. Veryyyyy shiny stuff, watch out for Magpies!! ;)
