Ive won the Canadian lottery a few times but being the philanthropist that I am I didn`t claim.
  3. Be careful fitting after market headlight bulbs, some are just too hot and will melt the perspex headlamp lense! Depends on whether you`ve got separate bulbs for headlight and hi-beam. The older ones were harder to install because you had relays to fit and wires to splice but the new ones are dead easy. You twist the bulb out of its housing, take the bulb from its socket and the ballast fits into where the bulb was, the zenon bulb now plugs into the wir.........tell you what, i`ll find a tube clip of it, i`m starting to confuse even myself. :) She really does go into painful detail she`s not very technically minded but a child could follow her instructions.....or even your wife!
  4. Got a set of rear mud-flaps on the way so that`s my weekend jobby next. I`m also changing the interior bulbs, the stock ones are very poor.
  5. They`re perfectly fine with the MOT, they do self level and it just takes minutes to swap them over, if you had any doubt MOT-wise they can be changed back in no time. Ive had them on 4 OBs and never had a problem. I`ll get a pic of the beam spread from inside the car later this evening and post it up. I haven`t changed the main beam bulbs they are still stock but I may just look at fitting HID units sometime. By the time you`ve gone through all the supposed "Brighter, whiter" bulbs for £10 a pop to find that they don`t really do what it says you could have a proper set of super-white High Intensity Discharge top end headlights. They are a lot better and cheaper now than 5 or so years ago and don`t require any wiring....they just plug & play! ;)
  6. What you want is a set of these: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/New-Premium-H4-35w-HID-Xenon-Conversion-Kit-Smart-Canbus-System-Subaru-Toyota-/400745092807?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item5d4e44d6c7 Straight swap and easy to install.
  7. I have to admit though. .....They look darn good!!
  8. Your a very strange fruit......like all sub owners.
  9. Just installed the rear camera, piece of pi$$, took me about 20 minutes....why did I put it off till weekend, i`m at home all !Removed! week! Every day is a Saturday.
  10. The YouTube "Share" link was wrong....its ok today. I don`t usually have to delete part of it. All is fine. ;)
  11. Never seen that on a Cornflakes box before :)
  12. Lookin good!
  13. It will be the primer which isn`t taking.....try an epoxy primer, better for aluminium and give it a quick rub down with something like 320 grade paper.
  14. I did all that, and i`ve posted clips before but this one wont embed.
  15. Is the primer also chipping off?
  16. This is quite impressive!
  17. I swapped them over from the last OB, I was going to get a couple of spares, at the time they were only available from Australia but now they`re closer to home, no need. LEDs outlast normal bulbs and draw less power.
  18. Wahey!...............Always nice when a plan comes together........you see what I meant by a tight fit? Good thing about these, they last forever. :) and how bright are they huh?
  19. Yes, had to get mine machined and sleeved after that. How the hell the thing worked in any way shape or form absolutely baffled my mechanic. It was just a bag of loose bearings Oh............I rang my insurance and put a claim in for yesterday. Although no damage to her I still need it checking over by their engineers. And the sore neck will be arriving shortly.
  20. Probably thought you were an un-marked Smokie
  21. Any one had trouble with front wheel bearings?..........On my last OB they chewed through the hub before they gave any warning of impending doom.
  22. Is it some kind of sea creature?
  23. Looks like a pimped-up hearse!
  24. I have burned a 2008 version and it works. If you want one let me know.
  25. Kinnell...........lucky he found the piggy-back.
