How much was your respray and did you do any prep work on before for it? SHINYYY

Took the bulky intake resonator out the wing and chopped it up in to an elbow and resealed it in search of a bit better air flow to the factory airbox to compliment the pipercross panel filter I have in there.

Depends what you want out of the car as a good wrx is 4-6 thousand £ while a good sti is 8-11 thousand £ You can have a wrx put out upto 350bhp on its stock internals with around 1k of mods for wrx a vf35 turbo, 565cc fuel injectors, panel filter, sports cat/decat exhaust, fuel pump and spark plugs with a remap all thats needed to go any further with performance mods past 350 bhp you risk blowing up the 5 speed gearbox. the sti is capable of around 400bhp before you spend big money on engine rebuilds as uprated steel rods & forged pistons and an uprated clutch are recommended past that I personally love my wrx and couldn't afford an sti when I bought it and wanted to also have it as a project car to overtime build it up myself to how I want it while teaching myself how to do it all :) it's my daily car for the current time so more than happy with it. An sti would be on the cards for me when I finish building up this wrx and can afford to get another more sensible car as a daily and save up the difference and sell my finished project on and choose an sti that I would then have bigger end goals for.

fitted a new boot latch as my old one was knocking and didn't feel secure, no more knocking and feels much more secure :)

scoobyclinic have quite a few nightmare stories which can be seen in online reviews which was enough to put me off planning taking my car there, if your coming from the isle I'd go the extra mile and go to andy forrest for the mapping, he is probably one of the most experienced and would be able to give you some good advice on any of your other issues before hand if it could hinder the mapping

What aftermarket coolant overflow bottle have you used? I was looking for them after the slimline type like yours but can't seem to locate them online

Fitted a nice shiny radiator, header tank and pipework from mishimoto this last few days along with fresh coolant the job was quite straight forward just included the usual cuts over the hands and few swear words the new radiator is much thicker and the expansion tank is also bigger so should see better temps :) took a few pictures from start to finish. Job time was roughly 2hours including bleeding out the air bubbles in the new coolant.

Been busy again today fitting the remaining silicone pipes and fitted a shiny new mishimoto ally radiator too

I lost/left a screwdriver under my bonnet on tuesday, drove to my friends house then found it when i opened the bonnet up there

I never use metal caps after replacing hundreds of customers valves working at the garage due to their metal caps seizing on to the valves, make sure you put some form of grease or lubricant on the valve threads every so often so you can get them off easily when ever you need to put some air in your tyres etc.

Done a few more bits over the last few days and continuing with it as got lots of bits still to fit just need to keep the ball rolling! Finished off today with a good time at the squires cafe jap meet!

Fitted the larger sti intercooler on that I spent some time cleaning up yesterday, half a mishimoto hose kit (ran out of time) and re-fitted my resprayed hella horns then drove down to squires cafe jap meet along with my friend with his very clean Honda Accord TypeR dc5

I figured if I'm only using it as a full recirc then I might as well have the standard recirc valve on all the time as I only let it vta if I decide to make a bit of noise at shows etc. but normally too busy drooling at other cars haha

stripped down my hellatone horns to repaint them as the origional red was looking dull and also gave my sti intercooler that I'm fitting tomorrow some love polishing it up a bit and made a stencil to repaint the logo as the old one was tired
