  1. Haha! Quite right mate... let me know if you're going up yourself one time and I'll see if I can join you!
  2. Def sorted this time.... only clunks ever so slightly going in reverse, I can live with that. Here is a before and after pic!
  3. Ah nice! I'm just in Crossgates, next to Dunfermline! Not been to knockhill in aaaaaaaaaages, would need to do some serious convincing for my wife to go for a trip there!!
  4. There are also plenty of breakers on ebay too! (just don't hit buy it now, email the seller) http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Subaru-Legacy-MK-3-2500cc-GX-W-Reg-breaking-1999-2000-2001-2002-2003-spares-/111937293175?hash=item1a0ffb8b77:g:WwAAAOxyni9TGEGI
  5. I would try a breaker... plenty of them out there! http://www.japperformanceparts.co.uk/breaking_list.asp?Make=Subaru http://www.cityautosalvage.co.uk/others/brk_subaru.htm Perhaps someone with more Legacy knowledge wil come along, never know the prop shafts could be the same as some other models of Subarus!
  6. There is only a handful of us Scots on here... would be cool to have a meet! I'm just over the forth road bridge but work in Edinburgh!
  7. Yeh I've noticed that as well in regards to Insignias... They've become worse than beemers!
  8. It's amazing what some metal polish and some elbow grease can do!!
  9. A rather cheeky bum shot in the 3rd pic! Very clean looking car!
  10. So how's the remapped car then?? :D
  11. I'd never noticed before which way they were so had no reason to believe they were the wrong way around. Quite embarrassing for the garage since they inspected the car for the best part of an hour when i went back with the clunk, only for them to say that it wasn't the brakes and must be the suspension!!
  12. Especially since the engines look near identical! Welcome to the club! Nice looking classic
  13. A young guy in a citreon C1 tried to race me this morning... didn't even have to drop any gears
  14. After even more research it is looking likely that the culprit is the caliper pin metal clamp thing... apparently the curvy end of it should be at the top of the caliper, whereas mine are upside down...
  15. It's a shame as they are brembo pads and they were fine in my old calipers, does look like the original pins and metal clamp were used so will no doubt benefit from getting replaced
  16. That's exactly what I've got on the way! Got them for 9 quid delivered from an ebay seller
  17. Nice, wasn't sure if it was a silly idea or not! I'll give this a try later in the week when i'm not working and report back!
  18. aaaaaaand the clunk is back... must be working a little loose after fitting... I'll try with my new caliper pins and metal plate and see if that resolves it...
  19. Welcome to the club!
  20. Hey guys, some of you know that I've fitted an STI scoop to my WRX. Noticed that even tho the bolts are tight it still has a little movement ever so slightly. I think this is caused by the foam seal that goes on the underside which has pretty much perished. What would a suitable replacement be? I've got some thin foam draught excluder, would that do the trick? Ideally want it to stop wobbling and stop water getting in that way!
  21. Me too!! I was dreading having to spend more money... just find it funny that the garage couldn't find any issue and I immediately found movement in the pads!
  22. Cheers Savage, I'll get onto my garage on Monday and get them to sort it as it was them that supplied the calipers!!
  23. Reseated my brake pads and got rid of the clunk... however, noticed that one of my caliper pistons is missing a metal ring, no clue how important it is! Pic is in my other thread...
  24. I'll get the single player on release so will let you know!!
