I'm putting these in the rear doors. Fitted one so far (!Removed! weather) think the originals are 5 1/4 inch but I've just modified the original mount to suit them. The fronts are 5 1/4 inch after market jobbies they are ok for now so I've left them alone. Got an Xplod sub in the boot and 2 amps. Gonna change that for a double enclosure with alpine subs not decided which yet. Have a switch to install in the cabin to turn the battery feed to the amps off as the distribution block has 2 led lights which stay on constantly thus drain the battery wen I'm away at work all week 😡😡😡.

Going beserk with cars at the minute. My sti obviously misses got an A3 cabriolet bought a Peugeot 307 for travelling to work and just bought a fiat 500 now. Not to mention the 2 suzuki's GSXR 1000 K4 limited edition & GSXR 750 srad bit of an ongoing project.

Once you put those 3 coilovers on shouldn't have any worries cornering flat out 😂😂😂😂. Which teins did you go for ? You having the edfc fitted as well ?

I've got a set of these easy upgrade with a nice impact when the bonnet is up. My only gripe is not the stays but my ally rad mounts must be slightly out as the stays are not quite square enough for me minor niggle probably but I like things right.

It's cleaned up well and looks a good base for a project. Good luck with it another one that'll be good to see progressing. Wish I had the time but more importantly the space ie big garage/workshop to do a project like this.

Agree either remove the top plate or alternatively the whole tank and paint it. I removed the whole tank and painted it black using red lead undercoat. A word of warning if you do remove it the hose attached to the filler cap on mine was very stiff to get off been on since day of manufacture and ended up snapping the filler neck off. Flea bay replacement cost £25 for the whole tank.
