  1. I think the main weakness is the casing. 350ftlb starts to force the gears out of line and either rips teeth or blows the casing. You can also buy strengthening plates for the sides but they are expensive for what they are.
  2. For aftermarket water temp gauge I think the route is to cut the top rad hose in half and stick an adapter in there that takes the sensor.
  3. I'm only talking from my own experience. Had a 1800 na punto(you can laugh, I do too) slapped a rude boi zorst on it and it did make 16 extra HP but dropped 10ftlb torque.
  4. 6 speed conversion. 6 speeds from sti models are much stronger.
  5. Lowering back pressure on na can lose a bit of torque.
  6. Naturally aspirated to be picky 😝😜
  7. Thanks. I bought it looking like this: Gave it a good clean, primer and paint. Didn't last long under the car though. I think I gave it just as much paint as whiteline do from new.
  8. This was mine, not sure what size it was standard(19mm?) next to the 22mm adjustable whiteline bar
  9. Glad everyone is OK. How did it happen?
  10. You can go direct to whiteline.
  11. I have a 2000 classic and put a 22mm bar on the back. Polybushes and ally droplinks. Made the world of difference. Car felt flatter and it didn't seem to lean on the front outside as much when cornering/braking. Get it done 😈👍
  12. Not far from me. I'm up near bluewater. There is a place in Canterbury called East Kent Subaru. He's a respected breaker but quite knowledgeable. For mapping I used Duncan Graham @racedynamix. He visits eks onelce a month too.
  13. Where in Kent are you?
  14. Well worth having. I'm not one for reporting !Removed! driving but it's there if there's an accident or to catch any "moments" 😁😁 I have quite a few clip's saved for giggles though. More Audi and BMW's than anything else believe it or not.
  15. Welcome to the club Where in Essex are you? We have a meet in Kent but it's just across the bridge from Essex.
  16. Yeah sounds like the tracking is out. One wheel likely has more toe in than the other so instead of running parallel you have one wheel straight and the other pointing in. The reason that would pull your steering is when the wonky wheels "takes control" of the direction the front wheels are going. When you turn a corner the outside wheel is the strongest controller of direction so the inside wheel has little choice but to follow the direction. Have you noticed any squeeling or tyre rubbing during corners? Bit of a mess trying to describe it but basically have the tracking checked.
  17. Has the tracking, camber and balancing been checked?
  18. I believe it will confuse the diff. Without shafts to drive it will almost think the car is wheelspinning so power won't be applied in the correct way.
  19. Indeed. Must've been a desperate cost cutting and weight reduction option for Subaru to go for those original clamps. Horrible things.
  20. I was referring these clamps being the silly ones. Jubilee clips are far superior.
  21. What colour smoke are you getting?
  22. Those silly clamps? I don't know the name but they end up cutting into the pipe. My top rad hose blew and when I tried to undo that clamp it snapped. Had to pinch some wire nips from work to cut it off. Managed to do it with all other parts in place. Was a right fiddle though.
  23. Might be worth reporting it the local police station. Just incase it was for a clone vehicle.
  24. That was his best advice!? Cheeky crook.
  25. Sounds like drama. That picture shows the mileage too and that would've been documented at the point of sale and mot. It's a shame you're having such a bad experience with the dealer.
