yup the Nordics can indeed throw out a fair few decent rally drivers
  3. CS400, 22B, 2008 Hatch
  4. Discovered the waterpump on the RX has two pipes for coolant not the three on the replacement I was sent - blanking off the redundant pipe is not an option as the manifold is 'different' and it will get in the way You learn something new everyday...
  5. I came across this a couple of weeks back - awesome refresh they have done on it - oh in answer to the original question - not this week
  6. Wotcha and welcome
  7. I was looking at the forge option for my STI - for all the good reasons, sound (thanks youtube) build quality, it was a direct replacement for the existing one, you could have it as a recirc or VTA but also if I didn't like it I knew I could sell it on no problem because of it being designed to fit as a direct replacement no adapter plates or anything or issues with running / setup

Awesome work there Tom, Id love to be doing the same thing for Jap motors in the not too distant future...
  9. Wotcha and welcome - what do you want to use the car for - the classic will will give a more rewarding drivers car experience but the newage motors are slightly more comfortable, 2.5 lumps in the later newage models give more torque lower in the rev range some have had the ringland failure and have had forged internals as a result. A standard car with a remap will apparently address the issue which causes it. You can get some nice imports for that money running a 2.0 twinscroll setup, just not as common. Either way keep us posted
  10. after purchasing multi pack of drain keys from Halfords (using card of course) changed rear diff oil - then discovered front diff needs a star plug key
  11. That is just ridiculous
  12. This is one known to @savage bulldogs may be worth considering? http://www.scoobycity.co.uk/forums/forum/classified/for-sale/771402-sti-import-for-sale
  13. Yup some people turn up to work and expect that is enough to get paid - clearly with little / no understanding of the relationship between themselves, the customer, the product / service and the business / company they are in
  14. When you get bored of it
  15. I had good service from Gary Bell at the new Telford dealership - followed up on an enquiry I had sent an email screen shot and a part number also good service from Doncaster Subaru - after a recommend from Sheffield Scoobie Services However Worcester / Pershore didnt bother getting back to me after they said they would. 16. Looking good - I like the contrast in bonnet / roof setup but would have to see how the wrap stood up over time, cracking motor though
  17. Had it more in the STI not having the the scoop makes it more low profile but do still acknowledge them myself though
  18. Wotcha and welcome - they do indeed induce a big grin

Yup a model specific site will get you more members / interaction with model in common and quite a few of the members on here contribute to other model specific sites - with this forum we throw a wide Subaru net but it takes time to build the depth with some areas being more successful than others. There is a GT86 parked up that we pass quite regularly by me and I get a nudge in the ribs from SWMBO as she fancies a little two door number so I can see one of those being added to the list at some point
  23. That does look like a clean example - engine bay looks "honest" - there were a couple of people in the intros section looking for motors - might be worth pointing them in his direction?
