  1. Wotcha and welcome - yup as advised plenty of new breakers springing up, they are helping push the price of STi's up though
  2. Wotcha and welcome - feel free to start a project thread for your track motor
  3. Wotcha and welcome - always loved the 300zx could only afford 200sx at time though
  4. Yes get the remap - Subaru will do a patch which allegedly sorts the running lean on pot 4 which results in ringland failure - however later model 330's have still suffered in some cases from ringland failure. When I enquired with my STi with PPP pack installed same as 330s I was advised the PPP tunes addressed this - I dont know which model you have, assuming the 295 bhp WRX STi version but I would def get a remap by an independant instead of the subaru patch the reason being you get a map tailored to your specific vehicle which will give results as described above as well as power with sports backbox and hi flow filter (330 bhp or there abouts) Also please be aware lack of oil can also be a cause of failure with these engines so if you are looking at track work where lots of high speed corners and higher revs cause engine oil flow away from pickup in sump I would advise looking at sump baffles and upgraded oil pump
  5. Wotcha and welcome - looking good
  6. running 20mm spacers on mine, so far no uneven tyre wear feels more planted in corners - but that may be a placebo however mine are the H&R brand specific for the make and hub of my car. http://www.larkspeed.com/shopper/i/189HR40255601 They were also reviewed by one of the magazines who fitted them to their longterm BRZ WRT the picture posted by Hudson they do not fit on like that - they were all a snug fit to the centre with one needing a little grease just to aid fitting I certainly am not expecting that from these and if it does happen I will be after my money back as my expectation was paying for quality as the machining and fit should ensure support and forces evenly distributed. Yes bearing wear may be an issue in the future - time will tell I have some fit photos somewhere - will post when I find them
  7. Wotcha and welcome - great car, yup the airbag issue is a bit of a sting but they handle that well it should never deploy right???!!!
  8. Wotcha and welcome feel free to get stuck in - share pictures etc
  9. You could fit the discs and pads on your drive no issues - hubs I dont know on a scoob but if the hubs are coming off the discs can be done as part of disassembly / reassembly
  10. Wotcha and welcome - i dont know the car but it looks tidy ☺
  11. Wotcha and welcome - and the XV massive also ☺
  12. Been a while chum - hope no-one was hurt with the original car - didnt you give that to your mum?? - Keep us posted
  13. is it worth disconnecting the airbags in the short term given the supply demand issues?
  14. I would imagine it is related to the Takata manufactured air bags issue - some of them can cause massive injury when deploying Is yours one of the ones that need assessing cant remember if it was late blobs or early Hawks that had the potential issue, we had a thread elsewhere on the site about it?
  15. nightmare - another project thread started by HG failure
  16. Matt - is your mates name Pete? If so it could be PriMatte Pete...?
  17. Looks like a good standard motor - good luck with the sale
  18. Does look like quite the motor - decent spec build should have no issues with reliability f it has been serviced in line with the engine build investment - regular oil changes, decent oil and plugs etc.
  19. Hi Matt - not familiar with the classic layout myself - any chance of some photos - Savage and the others will probably have a better idea than me
