  1. Wotcha and welcome - what ever you decide feel free to start a project thread and keep the camera handy ;)
  2. Vented discs means they have a gap in the middle so from that angle they could be vented or solid you can not see WRT the upgrade - what is you budget as the upgrades vary in price and spec but if I remember correctly to go the STI route will require new hubs and bearings as they are larger so you are potentially looking at WRX specific fitments - for a simpler approach but potentially you still have a wide choice http://scoobyworld.co.uk/catalog/index.php?cPath=37_286&osCsid=tvb0qpa29cq7pc1dimatio9tj4
  3. Sounds like a great approach ;)
  4. Rob - 55 is September 2005 to February 2006 so all is correct from what you have read. Any chance you could post some pictures, may help with response?
  5. Awesome - as above, we don't believe you unless there is photographic evidence :D
  6. Wotcha and welcome - that does look in really good knick, nice deep red as well very subtle
  7. Bargain at the price - hope it does to a good home

  18. I don't think there is a fixed definition it varies from tuning company to company and across model ranges I have always approached stage 1 as bolt on so filters and exhaust end can stage 2 involves bolt on changes that need a remap to get optimum effect so full exhaust and or turbo replacement Stage 3 onwards is engine internals - but you can always rebuild an engine with cdb and fully forged / lightened components - still using all the OEM external stuff - so dont know if this is classed as a stage or not?
  19. Unfortunately I would spend more time saving to get a CF one but paint parts of it either the sides leaving the top and bottom blades as CF or paint bottom blade as well just leaving the top buuuut as Sam has said you would probably be able to sell the copy on when an original comes up
  20. Well at least it wasnt going down the road when it happened - 262bhp is a healthy figure as you have said :)
  21. They still look awesome - irrespective of copy or not. Must admit though I agree with Stants on the complete removal - that carbon fibre boot lid with the duck tail Ben does looks better IMO that the original shelf type spoiler http://www.carbenfibrecreations.co.uk/store/index.php?id_product=524&controller=product he also does the STi spoiler in CF http://www.carbenfibrecreations.co.uk/store/index.php?id_product=660&controller=product
  22. Wotcha and welcome - great looking motor with some nice mods. I would get the map checked if you run the decat pipe, given it has already had one it would be better to get the parameters checked. FMIC would be a complimentary addition if it has had those mods done - not sure about the fitting - attaching it wont be an issue but I dont know if there are any bodywork mods needed. Mot - depends on your tester, might get away with out changing it
  23. As many on the forum will agree it is worth waiting for the right car :)
