  1. Hi Anna - has the alternator been replaced? J
  2. Hi Anna - not familiar with your area so unable to provide a local recommendation but if you could share details on what the garage keeps repairing we may be able to shed some light on the issues? What year and model is your motor as well? Engine size if you know
  3. Check to see it the link itself has not broken first before going after the sensors - OEM on the impreza is plastic and I had one snap - replaced form ebay source with metal items about £40 ish if I remember correctly
  4. Wotcha and welcome - If it has been sat unused for some time start checking around for oil leaks as they dry out through lack of use. I would do a full service back to front replacing all fluids - oil, diff, brake. Check your tyres have not gone hard, brake caliper pistons not siezed. I would also consider replacing the brake lines - even stainless steel braided lines have the tubes go off over time. Next would be going through the bushes seeing if any have perished Safety first
  5. Wotcha and welcome - I have had a mixed experience with my local main stealer. The problem I think is that they have people that work there who are not enthusiasts so once you get outside of a fixed process you are limited - The first one being for an import is "computer says no". It appears the system they have can only deal with UK registrations, most recently I gave them a UK reg plate but it looked like the car had been imported from Cyprus - This threw up an error on the screen that the two chaps had not seen before - They will be phoning me when Subaru has got back to them I find myself doing research first and then having at least a direction for them helps a lot. I have only had experience of one current place though so others may have different stories
  6. Wotcha and welcome - Keep us posted on your decision
  7. Wotcha and welcome - Hopefully someone local to you can supply the answer 🙂
  8. Finally got around to paint correction on the drivers side, removed a lot of swirls and scratches on door / wing
  9. Fitted some gauges Oil pressure, oil temp I fitted some time back under the turbo cyl 1 in preparation Sensor wires ready to be routed through bulkhead Some shrouding and the access sorted In place and through to under the dash gauge pod, gauges and showing the link cable will not reach Creating a patch lead Heat solder joints Plenty of length now Extending the power supply in the same way I connected the power supply to the appropriate feeds used for the stereo and routed the sensor leads from under the dash up behind the console, then fitted the new surround from South Coast Flocking One of my side repeaters was cracked so replaced with some Alibaba led specials before During After will try and upload a video... From the front Close up
  10. Wotcha and welcome - plenty of members with experience of both those models
  11. Wotcha and welcome - maybe going for an older option where depreciation and reliability are not so much of an issue?

  15. I could not tell from that vid - it could be the AC pump, could be power steering? You could try unhooking each of the belts and see if the noise is still there?
  16. Not sure about a centre console one but check out these guys who can do double and triple pods for the hatch https://www.southcoastflocking.com/blank-page
  17. Wotcha and welcome - check this thread out, lots of information when buying a scoob. https://uk.subaruownersclub.com/forums/topic/1619-help-check-guide-buying-1st-subaru/

  19. Wotcha and welcome - feel free to share pictures, get stuck in etc all friendly on here
  20. Opt for an exhaust system with a resonator as well as a back box silencer, that will lower the noise and be less cost than a sports cat also no issue with the ECU map
  21. Great to hear - many see advantages of mapping a standard car as the factory map is a compromise
  22. Sounds like a great example - I would suggest creating a thread in the for sale section and add the photos to there. We do get a lot of views in that section from non members
  23. Apologies - forgot the 's' has twin pipes - will an STI pipe not fit, may have to go cat back though?
