help what's this
Hi - looks like some form of power valve controller that changes the profile of the exhaust which removes flat spots inherent in NA engines?

2011 WRX STI Build
nightmare - can you get something in just to pry it out and stop the rubbing until a repair can be made?

I am a big subaru brand supporter, the AWD system and flat four / six configuration is great in petrol guise. I would suggest you do some more research on subaru diesel engine / gearbox failures - Unfortunately there is a lot to read

There is a difference between the WRX STI and the WRX S / WRX / RX models (wide body vs narrow body). The model variant selected is WRX S which I understood you were looking at, not the STI

Wotcha and welcome, Not got a scoob diesel myself however on my diesel van issues with glow plugs were traced to the supporting relay, so the issue may not be the plugs themselves. Dependent on mileage it may be time to replace them anyway?? The jumper instead of a fuse is not great - indicates an earth somewhere which def needs investigating as an earth can turn your wires into smoke generators - this is not fun and makes a funny smell

Hi - pretty sure you can, looked into it for my NA, single exhaust outlet but still a large silencer behind the bumper - Think I have a link somewhere....
- Hi all just an introduction

WRX or WRX STi?
Wotcha and welcome - From what I remember when looking at a blob / hawk sti there were quite a few differences, particularly in the chassis area. I stand to be corrected but here goes: Turbo - bigger on the sti Intercooler ARB's are thicker Bearings are larger - as such pcd is different Some chassis parts are alloy - lower wishbones? possibly different brake calipers - not sure on that one Probably a few more things - possibly struts and springs

Newbie Advice wanted
Wotcha and welcome - Can you check for any engine codes? It sounds like its running really rich, I would check the MAF sensor
-
Wheel Spacers ?
Wotcha and welcome - I have not used BONOSS spacers only H&R, however as long as they are a correct fit on the hub and used with a correct size spigot ring for the wheel I would consider them as an option

a few pics of my project so far
It does look a quality job and as back to metal before repaint it should not come back now 👍

Rear tailgate electric boot release handle
A couple of hatches being broken on FB at the moment but also try Pole Position in Wolverhampton they may have one

Universal Hub Buster for Rear Wheel Bearings.
Just watched a vid on this tool - safe to say I will be investing, looks a lot better than the previous approach I was using of SDS hammer drills, lump hammer & bolster 👍

Universal Hub Buster for Rear Wheel Bearings.
Try making your images slightly smaller - I had this error last week when I tried uploading, that fixed it for me

2.0 4 cyl or 3.0 6 cyl Outback
2.0 NA is a heavy car for the power of the engine so if you want to tow anything dont look at the 2.0. As both are NA reliability should not be an issue as long as serviced regularly. My 2.0NA has not missed a beat. I did over spec on the belt though so no chance of it failing.

What have you done to your Subaru today ?
Received this from Gaz @cusco scooby wagon Watson - very pleased - looks a lot better than when it left me 😁

high power subaru
As above - sum of all parts, not necessarily just the turbo. I can sell you an SC46 which will give 500+ hp but may not achieve it on your setup
