  1. Wotcha and welcome - sorry your joining the forum was under these circumstances
  2. Will be easier in long run, as you say job done properly - using the vpower type fuels in future helps keep them clean as they have detergents etc in the fuel which your lower ron / cost fuels dont have. Also injectors do wear / over time so this should help with peace of mind in the long run that they are performing correctly
  3. best way with injectors is ultrasonic bath
  4. yup drop oilman (Tim) a message for their recommendation
  5. sounds like coil / lead breaking down
  6. Some arty shots there nice one
  7. Glad to hear it has been sorted - did you soak in penetrating oil?
  8. drop Oilman a line (Opie Oils) for a recommendation as you have a non standard car - you can also take advantage of the forum discount being a member http://uk.subaruownersclub.com/forums/user/609-oilman/
  9. Yup decent tyres with discounts would be useful but I understand they don't make that much on tyres as it is and the business model is about having them fitted to stay afloat
  10. Jay762 replied to Nevell's topic in Junk Room
its the not being around which it would help me with
  11. :o first example I have heard of that happening on an STI hatch - really sorry to hear that RA developments could help you out with uprated engine internals or a complete engine if you have really deep pockets http://www.ra-motorsport.co.uk/Home/Pages/contact
  12. always good for a short term fix but sounds like saving for a stainless item in the future will be the way to go
  13. Nice to hear from you again - keep us updated with your progress and share some photos of your new motor when it arrives ;)
  14. That is a great price for the car and the work you have put in over the last few months
  15. I think from a breakers you would be looking at the grill as well, its not worth their time trying to separate the parts
  16. You can fit the tank and empty every so often or have a return to the sump - leaving the sump out is simpler and you can get tanks with level windows on the side to see how full its getting. TLag has done a breather system on his Legacy project build - has initially doubled up on the tanks but I dont think you would need to do that. http://uk.subaruownersclub.com/forums/topic/3910-my-buildconversion-project/page-7
  17. If comfort is a priority is for you these units wouldnt have been, they were track orientated BC's - ER's I think
  18. pity you couldn't stretch the budget for the coil-overs a little as Fozzy had a primo set of near new BC's going a while back but they were £950 I think
  19. in the short term try changing the pads for some EBC red stuff as Salsa did - great pads with more bite also whilst you are considering the caliper change budget for some braided hoses as well
  20. def go for caliper - overheating can cause bearing damage but it normally over an extended period
  21. Jeez Bazza - what a shame after all you have been through with your motor sorry to hear that chum :(
  22. Wotcha and welcome - nice looking motor you have there - if I was you I would ring Subaru directly with the vin number get it from the horses mouth, they might even be able to generate a certificate for you?
  23. that is a tidy motor the light mods look great my 2p for the mods black mesh - yes splitter - keep it black wheels go anthracite rather than black as the black makes the rims look smaller
