  1. got you - so it cant be driven away then - well we do have a few sport drivers on here so you may get some requests
  2. I dont see why not - it would be great to have you on board ;)
  3. Wotcha and welcome - that's a purposeful looking vehicle you have there, clearly not lacking in attention, am interested in whats hidden behind the bodywork also. We have a group going to Japfest at Castle Coombe (and Donnington in future) so if you would like to sign up please feel free to. ahhh - I was just looking for the link to post and see your already posted there ;)
  4. that's pretty good - sounds like a film score - Michael Kamen etc got visions of wide angle helo shots while your blatting up a highland pass
  5. not hear of xado, but I would try the molyslip first as you have already recently changed the oil
  6. ok that sheds a bit more light on it - what mileage does it have on it? Is the interior in good condition, if you are looking to scrap it what would you take to clear it as a whole?
  7. Hi Bazza do have any recent pictures you could share - it may help
  8. fitting the BOV may have alleviated it a bit by dumping the pressure and therefore some of the power so less strain on the clutch. If you do replace the clutch it is a good move to have the flywheel skimmed to ensure even wear in the future
  9. take it you didn't get a headache with the fumes :)
  10. Wotcha and welcome - both great cars, think you will find more room in the back of the legacy but as standard I think you will prefer driving the WRX
  11. If you have some pictures and details of history of the car it may help members who are after panels etc? Is it beyond saving?
  12. Wotcha and welcome John - tidy looking car there - Black hawkeyes always remind me of the RB320 Pete has just put gold rims on his black motor http://uk.subaruownersclub.com/forums/topic/4652-new-wheels/ and Ben is going for white so keep an eye on this and you will see how it sets the car off http://uk.subaruownersclub.com/forums/topic/4537-my-subaru-impreza/ feel free to sign up for Japfest the forum is looking at getting a stand http://uk.subaruownersclub.com/forums/topic/4782-japfest-registration-form/
  13. Yup helicoil is the way forwad with this one given the power of the remaining brakes Pete I know you'll take it steady I'm sure you would be fine and it saves the recovery cost
  14. Wotcha and welcome - unfortunately I can shed no further light on the subject other than the test model theory
  15. Wotcha and welcome - Great video and the sound from the onboard camera is just awesome, Diz, Gem & all the ladies a track day beckons :D
  16. Pete just for clarity - have you managed to get the bolts out and have seen the two threads in the caliper or not managed to shift them at all?
  17. moly slip was what I would recommend - however correct me if I am wrong - are you saying it works fine when you have it warmed up? If so possibly a lighter gear oil would work but I think the gearbox should be working fine when cold - after all it is just selecting gears, unfortunately this is where I run out of knowledge with respect to the fozzy.... I think you may have a slightly worn selector mechanism - I don't know if any other Fozzy members can shine some further information on the subject?
  18. lovely finish - great work by the body shop
  19. Looking good Try this for a bit of extra protection? http://www.angelwax.co.uk/?wpsc-product=ag you'll need to go through a full clean etc - probably worth clay bar treatment then after polish put a layer of this on Salsa King has had great results with the white version http://uk.subaruownersclub.com/forums/topic/4744-finished-the-rest-of-the-car-off-now/
  20. Brilliant - back on the road again, great to hear :)
  21. nice one - a cheap fix - we like those :)
  22. I didnt have any issues running the 150W ones in mine however here is a high quality 55W option - a little steeper in price though http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Sylvania-H7-SU-SilverStar-Ultra-Halogen-Headlight-Bulb-Pack-of-2-/161216020961?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item25893941e1
