  1. burnt sand smell - brakes or clutch, oil smell - possibly a leak or turbo on way out, hot rubber you may have an engine over temp issue or brake caliper seized (plus burnt sand) smell of burnt leather - its Gambit in chaps after some vigorous rubbing - good news for the rest of us - he's now stalking you :D ;)
  2. The turbo doesnt need back pressure its only NA cars that have issues with exhaust lengths and pulse matching etc putting the sport cat on will allow more free flowing route for the gasses but wont upset the mixture, so running it without a map in conjunction shouldn't be an issue - it differs with air filters as they increase the flow into the engine and as such will effect your mixture and it could run lean The turbo will spool up in conjunction with your engine out put as it would normally IMO its the right order to do it in - did it that way on my 200sx years ago and had no problems at all
  3. hmmm does sound a desperate sell or something wrong with it - ho hum
  4. Thats a fair package you have there - I believe Scooby Pete enjoys these as a distraction as well
  5. if you dont ask you dont get - you can always come down...
  6. looks good - I did some fin repair using a v small screwdriver and agree my back was feeling it afterwards, like some crappy plank exercise :D
  7. Gem is going to Norfolk
  8. I could see the sense of it if you were constrained with space but I wouldn't have one myself purely because of the angles used in construction of the pipework - Airflow at that point should be nice and smooth its only when you are mixing the fuel and air a little turbulence is good
  9. Did you take any photos of that - sounds like a top job??
  10. nah dont believe you - not without photographic proof ;) ;) :)
  11. bought it up a treat that has - tidy job as well
  12. Gem's a smart cookie - I'm sure she'll sort something out, in between planning her holidays that is ;)
  13. yup a turbo would eat into that allowance in no short order - strip all the excess weight out and uprate the brakes get you extra mpg and improve the stopping power you could weigh her bag and position it in the car for optimum weight distribution also ;)
  14. slightly different effects there :D
  15. just tried the link myself - blank page also
  16. It does look that way doesnt it - You're the other side of the Pennines to Gem, might have been a bit of a shock for her :D This forum is a comparatively new one to many which is great in one respect as you dont get overwhelmed but there can be lulls in the conversations / rambling
  17. Wotcha and welcome - good luck and do you have any photos you could share - it may help the sale
  18. ill be watching that :)
