  1. Sounds like another great meet - nice one Ash
  2. not keen on piston slap myself - always gets me twitching even though I know it will be fine
  3. Titanium would be my vote break the black with a contrast
  4. nice to hear people actually win :)
  5. Do you have any blue smoke coming out of the exhaust? If the oil is getting past your rings or there is an issue with the turbo you will get blue smoke how many miles has the car done? as long as the turbines are supported you will get pressure on spool up. 3 litres in 1500 miles is a lot, if it is coming past the rings your plugs could be fouled - what colour are they? Is the coolant fluid clear, no milkiness? Might be worth doing a sniff test just to make sure in order to check head gasket??
  6. Wotcha and welcome - a few on here from your part of the world
  7. That looks great - all the slight changes make a really good package

all good known brands - if it was me I tend to stick with what I know works although I was looking at Syvecs options at one point - pricey but the amount of control you get to protect your engine is good
  11. nice one buddy - looks like you got a great deal there and as stated they are pretty solid - some of the early s13 / sylvia engines had issues with cams - being described as chocolate, although I had no such issues
  12. That is a great result, good to hear they will at least look to rectify the issue, gives you time to look about and decide who you would like to complete the higher spec rebuild
  13. I don't think you will have an issue with that motor, should be a nice result when done - agree with Gambit I can see your mum pushing to exchange the sport for your turbo project once that is completed :D
  14. so a v6 1600cc turbo I was thinking audi rs and the like - nah what you have is a succession of hollow farts in a box
  15. just watched a bit of the pre season testing, dont think ill be watching any more - the sound the cars now make is awful I couldnt sit and watch that for 2 hours :(
  16. great stuff, something else to look forward to
  17. yup that was the one properly over the top but still a shame to see it trashed
  18. I'm sorry but that video is too funny she gets caught right off guard - and I only laugh because its the old thing, no one got hurt
  19. I remember that Carlton - it was a huge amount of work they did on it just for it to be slammed, shame. I agree I think it would sit nicely in a classic - unfortunately one isn't coming along for me anytime soon otherwise I would keep it for my 22b replica :)
  20. That first one is a shame - he wasnt hammering it at all just caught out on the damp
  21. That's turned out spot on
  22. Those are great neighbours indeed
  23. The 4 pin box will be the relay, the Hellas will draw more current so if there is no relay in the circuit already you use the relay to have a dedicated supply from the battery but triggered using the existing loom from the switch in the car. That way it doesnt overload the existing wiring. Gambit has installed them so he will be able to describe his own approach
