  4. It is a great colour that
  5. yup used K&N filters for quite a few years always had good results
  6. ahem - never really checked to see if they are working.... only ever used standard ones from garage now brake lights fog lights etc I have been replacing my standard ones with CREE high power LED types
  7. Also if you run the Vpower type fuel as well it is good to have a map matched to that and get the benefit
  8. the initial map for your standard car is biased towards emissions at certain revs and a degree of economy to make the MPG figures quoted realistic - it will be a compromise so if you put on an induction kit and a free flowing exhaust + ensure your injectors are clean, car serviced with good plugs etc I would personally go for a remap - not for outright power but I found in the past with NA engines better drive in low to midrange because the engine is being fuelled at its optimum not for emissions
  9. With the cone filters the oil you put on them is very very small amounts the idea being to catch / hold the finest particules that would pass through the filter, I have seen people put so much oil on it is dripping off the bottom of the filter, way too much.

  11. Me either always had the stubs even on aftermarket wheels and bosses
  12. the matt black does look good - Im not a huge fan of too much anodised stuff - reminds me of the stuff on 90's superbikes all got a bit tacky even though the kit can be top line
  13. shame and somewhat ironic given the films he was in - made me think of James Dean also R.I.P.
  14. sounds like the standard Subaru sigma
  15. Wotcha and welcome - what a beast some serious attention paid to that one - you know what though I think you could go 18" on the rims if you wanted to I think with the rest of the mods it wouldnt look over the top

I use PIAA silicone ones - they dont have the plastic blade but they do a great job of water displacement giving clearer vision - should be standard on all new cars in my opinion
  17. Wotcha and welcome Mario - great looking car you have there
  18. means to an end - I still have the under bonnet sound proofing I took off so am using that as a comfort blanket :D

  23. if the main bearings have gone it needs either a rebuild or engine replacement the engine replacement is quicker as you change it one for one then you can rebuild at your lesuire unfortunately there is no temp fix which will allow you to drive with the existing situation. you can gamble on something like this - Brum not being too far away http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Subaru-Impreza-2-0-WRX-Turbo-Engine-/261337683178?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3cd8f094ea or less of a gamble is something like these with £50 delivery http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SUBARU-IMPREZA-WRX-ENGINE-EJ20-2-0-TURBO-REMANUFACTURED-/221039413783?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Car+Make%3ASubaru|Model%3AImpreza|Cars+Type%3A2.0+Turbo+4WD&hash=item3376f9ca17 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SUBARU-IMPREZA-WRX-STI-ENGINE-EJ20-TURBO-STI-2-0-TURBO-REMANUFACTURED-/221039396785?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Car+Make%3ASubaru|Model%3AImpreza|Cars+Type%3A2.0+Turbo+4WD&hash=item3376f987b1
