  1. this is where my knowledge is being added to as I go along... I thought the 04 blob had the same dash as the bug from 02 then it changed with the 05 model blob?
  2. Wotcha and welcome!!
  3. great stuff :)
  4. and after taking 3 days to get to that point I can imagine your response :D
  5. from the interior it looks like an MY04 model you should have a code like this on your vin plate GDAE48D GDAE48T plug it into this web page and see if it generates a result http://scoobyprojects.co.uk/technical/appliedmodel.php also this may help with the VIN breakdown http://www.cars101.com/subaru/vin.html
  6. all looks spot on!! thanks
  7. excellent - we will really be able to hear you coming now :P
  8. Does look like a proper job, nice result - I would have had to put a washer on the foremost bolt to match the rear one but that is just me being a bit ocd :)
  9. Wotcha and welcome - they do put a big grin on your face that is for certain :)
  10. that is a result - will you replace the oil hoses at the same time?
  11. possibly - I know some work has been done to reconciliate all of the various trim options to the code number but I dont know how extensive that was. photos of the interior may give some idea also??
  12. Mine either sorry - no bluetooth kit fitted
  13. your code from the vin plate should give some idea, photos of the interior may get an answer from a member on the forum but probably a call to subaru would get a definitive answer
  14. Brilliant - easy solution
  15. Very nice chum - glad you got the one you wanted - those blue specs are still available ;)
  16. Hi Jase, I believe what you have posted there is part of a longer serial ID on the VIN plate you will have that id as a prefix and then a code below it this link shows a diagram with location of the plate you want the 7 figure code below it. enter it into the field and it may give you the answer http://scoobyprojects.co.uk/technical/appliedmodel.php
  17. pretty succinct ;)
  18. Beefy - should be good and solid those :)
  19. frustrating - clearly the chap was a moron, if you dont put a reserve on or a higher starting price its your own fault. Looks like he was trying to keep the listing cost as low as possible would be terrible if he re-lists it and gets a really high winning bid and the buyer drops out
  20. best approach - that tends to be the way with most things particularly when people have something to gain
  21. put it as a thread in the subarus for sale section see if there is a response
  22. its not a light subject, that is for certain.
  23. there is a fair amount of reading to be done just on SA alone, Dutch / English occupancy, discovering diamonds unsurprisingly a big fight, it goes on - throw in massive inter tribal hatred between Black nationals as well as white settlers and ever shrinking natural resources, its a bit of a powder keg. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_South_Africa http://www-cs-students.stanford.edu/~cale/cs201/apartheid.hist.html http://www.indyweek.com/triangleoffense/archives/2010/07/08/a-short-history-of-the-dutch-in-south-africa-1652-2010
