  1. it is normally through a dealer - I have a mate who sells it - ill ask him for his contact in the NW (its all done regionally)
  2. could be not spooling up - worn bearings, actuator not working / leaking which means will not come up to full boost steadily as boost will be bled off leak some where bleeding boost off do you have a variable boost device fitted that could be failing also? are there any engine fault codes being generated?
  3. Way hay - more new pictures !! - thats great news good on the dealer :)
  4. Nice - same colour as Bips car :) good luck with the sale
  5. Jay762 replied to quit's topic in Junk Room
Thats a nice selection box you have got there :D
  6. I have taken them off in the past - but kept an eye on things for a bit to ensure the shell is not discolouring a bit of heat wrap would not go amiss if it is easy enough to get access to
  7. is it being used with a full sports system or a sport cat with standard system?
  8. If you are not looking to go OTT - go with Matts suggestion - look around for some STI rims, get a great factory look these can be upto 18" depending on style. Its the old black is slimming ethos - ask any lady with an LBD ;)
  9. nice idea - particularly as you are replaceing a defect with something that works
  10. Wotcha and welocme - rolling radius needs to remain the same for the speedo reading - however you can change it as long as you modify the speedo accordingly - eg get one that uses GPS instead of engine revs / gear selection rolling radius calculation. Black wheels look slightly smaller than they are yoou have plenty of options to choose from possibly even squeezing a 19" rim under your arches having a smaller and therefore stiffer side wall will firm up the ride a little but should also result in a more positive steering feedback
  11. I di it every time but to stretch it you could do every other time - Im not fussy about the diesel so will use supermarket stuff or standard BP shell etc, the product has all the additives and cleaners that you would find in shell nitro diesel The stuff I use is product number 2276 - BG DFC with Lubricity After having the service done I noticed an improvement in throttle response and reduced engine running temperature it dropped from an indicated 100 down to 82 :o the black sludge that was coming out of the exhaust is no longer there - there would also be better fuel economy for a slightly less spirited driver :D so the flush followed by the continued treatment has kept things clean
  12. I would agree with Tlags thoughts having read the description
  13. Thats great - keep us posted I would be interested in the grip vs wear rates against the bridgestones :)

  19. always useful to have penetrating oil and a blow torch on hand ;)
  20. It should be possible - I would have to get a look at the wiring diagrams though to confirm
  21. unfortunately I dont know about Subaru diesels but the expereinces I had with the DPF on my merc van were sorted when I had a service using BG products along side the regular oil change, the engine and pipework were all cleaned out the DPF cleaned out and now I use a bottle of the BG fuel additive in every tank of diesel - had no issues since
