  1. Wotcha and welcome Ben - Not too familiar with LPG but a fellow member (Bouncer) has a few issues with a rather neglected sport wagon - check for rust around the back end, subframes and wheel arches also corrosion / seizure of brake caliper bleed nipples.
  2. for beaches look at norfolk, cornwall or along south coast, for scenery and great drives look at Wales, the north of England and definitely Scotland
  3. No buddy, was working up there - I would quite happily move up the NE but missus wont leave parents at this point. thats a hell of a journey you made but a story to tell for sure
  4. 2k for this one http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1998-Subaru-Impreza-Standard-Car-1994cc-Petrol-/370672683090?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item564dd04852 but as I said if it was me Id fix the wrx then sell break the sport then buy a sport you like I have tried driving around off boost - only works for a few miles, but that is just me :D
  5. jeez buddy that is some list there but at least it is all fixable. you mentioned a while back that fuel economy was now more of a priority so fixing the sport would be the better long term option, however fixing either, in my mind, means a long term commitment as they will both owe you in outlay. I would have to re read but I seem to remember the possibility of taking some of the good stuff ie brakes from the WRX to fit to the sport so that would help support some of the improvement but that would still leave you with a WRX which needs attention or that will need breaking to recoup some funds or you bite the bullet and just scrap the WRX. what would I do fix the wrx and sell it try and at least break even take anything worth breaking from the sport to sell possibly store it in the empty space from the wrx. then go shopping for a sport in the colour you want etc but without the rust etc of this one
  6. amazing aren't momo and O.Z. also Italian brand /manufacturers?
  7. I had 3 ladies from Bari over as my guests to Newcastle upon Tyne - they enjoyed themselves especially when it turned out one of the local restaurant managers came from Bari as well - lots of Amarone consumed that evening ;)
  8. Thats an awesome looking car - Its a shame a country that has made some design greats like Pininfarina puts such a restraint on its people when it comes to cars, I didn't know it was that way - is it the same for motorbikes?
  9. never used it myself but can see the appeal
  10. Wotcha and welcome - anti lag is awesome, makes me smile! ;)

    Slingshot fail

    !Removed! ell!! :o
  12. Hi - as standard your car should be 215/60R16 94H 16 x6.5jj, offset 48, bolt pattern 5 - PCD 100 Taken from this site http://www.cars101.com/subaru/tiresandwheels.html so check for alloys that have the same numbers, not the 16 inch though ;)
  13. Wotcha and welcome did you press the small button on the console before as that indicates the mileage trip A or B on mine ?

  15. good luck with the sale and keep us posted on the FSTI progress
  16. Its the time vs money thing again - halfords professional tools are fairly priced and come with a like for like guarantee you don't need a huge variety to do the job. Crane hire is circa £50 a week or £10 a day a head gasket is £22 http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HEAD-GASKET-FOR-SUBARU-IMPREZA-2-0-1995-2000-1281-/330877329848?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item4d09d361b8 or full gasket set to sort the issue on both sides £70 - £90 (cant remember what year yours is) http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SUBARU-IMPREZA-94-97-LEGACY-91-94-TURBO-EJ20GN-EJ20-2-0-HEAD-GASKET-SET-/130645540238?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Car+Make%3ASubaru|Model%3AImpreza|Cars+Type%3A2.0+Turbo+GT+4WD&hash=item1e6b14bd8e http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SUBARU-IMPREZA-TURBO-EJ20-96-00-STEEL-HEAD-GASKET-SET-/130360169098?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&fits=Car+Make%3ASubaru|Model%3AImpreza|Cars+Type%3A2.0+Turbo+GT+4WD&hash=item1e5a12528a oil will be £30 some coolant £12 - £25 this will get you started but you have to decide what you want to do with the two cars you currently have. £600 to get one car fit for selling is fine if you are happy with the delta negative against the original purchase cost or you could do something like this and keep the wrx putting it back to standard as you originally posted http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Subaru-impreza-Engine-turbo-WRX-STI-EJ20-/271285540711?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3f29e0d767 and then drive it about knowing the engine is sound or put this one in and sell it http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/subaru-impreza-wrx-v1-v4-wrx-engine-/261293828402?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3cd6536932 just depends what you actually want to end up with
