  1. Id go for removing the fog light as well - square on to the air flow will give a really good result
  2. Lets hope you get the weather for a spirited clearing out of the tubes
  3. if you are just planning normal use I agreed with Gambit wrt belts possibly check / replace water pump + spark plugs. for more spirited stuff I would consider uprated oil pump and sump baffle
  4. yup vents are good particularly if you are running a tuned lump - get that extra heat out
  5. sounds like its going to be an easy straight swap - possibly with some bits to sell on and offset the expense, and you have the old engine which may or may not be salvageable - all very positive
  6. Thats a nice little mod - jobs a good 'un
  7. I think that will help the air flow a little :P
  8. !Removed! ell - that was a serious catch, very lucky
  9. I shouldnt worry Steve has already told us we are excluded - that was after several posts in mind you
  10. Wotcha and welcome to the forum - have you done any work on any Subaru's?
  11. They should fit but as Odessey said there may be some additional wiring to deal with. At this point though I would stick with a like for like replacement that way at least you are back on the road
  12. Well it was theeee thing at the time - little bit of DTM for you, almost had that on my 200sx but sourced a twin round straight cut £50 less so went with that
  13. That is smart - looks fit for purpose, feeling slightly inadequate now, nearly 40 brake down and you could do a serious trip to B&Q with that machine ;)
  14. that's a cheeky little twin up-swept number peeking out there
  15. That is an issue - maybe a classic model would bring the insurance down?
  16. metal conducts heat - watch you dont burn your fingers :D hold it in a vice then take it steady and use grips to gently apply pressure as the joint is heated. That is a result from the seller though
  17. It would probably be best if you put the pictures on something like photobucket and then posted the link that would display them within the thread
  18. That does look like a great car - good luck with the sale
  19. jeez that looks like its had a wallop - hopefully the customer service of the supplier will be top notch
  20. Wotcha and welcome - very nice, looking forward to some photo's
  21. auto great for around town and urban driving / commuting - effortless but if it is specific long journeys I would go for the manual. It also gives more control in situations where there is less traction, or you could go auto and fit a power winch ;)
  22. Agreed I think it will help any resale opportunities
  23. we put the motor in an saw what broke - R&D my style so the new motor is more receptive to tuning as standard than the EJ - hmmm should I start trawling breakers now...
  24. Agreed this shape saloon definitely needs the spoiler
  25. Pretty sure they will - as Gambit said don't think they have changed the offset or anything
