  1. sounds like one of your sensors, one of the more knowledgeable members will be along shortly and will probably know exactly which one
  2. Wotcha and welcome Ally, some great roads for a subaru down your way - feel free to share some photos if you have them also we have a few lady members on this forum so hopefully you'll feel right at home
  3. Its the 4k alarm silencer :D
  4. It looks and sounds awesome those are some well thought out mods - I like the Rotas myself, great looking chunky alloys although to be fair the ones you have currently really set the car off
  5. I also ride bikes and spend time pulling tehm apart fro various mods - if you can find your way around an inline 4 on two wheels, the flat four will give you no problems its all similar stuff just a few more pipes and wires ;)
  6. Wotcha and welcome - that is a tidy looking vehicle you have there, I also have the back seat encouragement from mini mes - 14 and 7 and also have the 4K alarm that sometimes sounds when Im driving - to be fair though it doesnt happen when I am riding shotgun and the stillies are pushing the pedals, its a control thing Im informed :D
  7. Wotcha and welcome - there is a section for subaru spotting so if you see someone post a thread describing car and location seen and they may turn out to be a member
  8. If you are looking for fuel economy look at some of the NA diesels and hybrids or modern petrol engines, two wheel drive does tend to be more economical as well.
  9. Wotcha and welcome - great first post, very useful to know... a demon second post might be sharing some photos of your scooby ;)
  10. There shouldn't be any restriction - are you still having issues now as it has had some settings changed and all should be fine now?
  11. Wotcha and welcome Diz - great looking example you have there!!
  12. Has it just started happening or is it something you have lived with as it sounds to me like a crossed wire somewhere along the line - similar to when you wire up the brake lights to the horn :D
  13. It should reflect that on the log book / V5- I have looked at the gallery pictures you have posted and I cant see the WRX STI badges, it doesn't have the WRX STI alloys I would expect either. Even if it is an import it should still reflect correctly in the log book - a quick call to the DVLA will confirm your suspicions
  14. Wotcha and welcome
  15. Wotcha and welcome - congratulations on the forthcoming event!!
  16. Wotcha and welcome yup a video or recording of the sound could help a lot with the diagnosis
  17. rubbish video quality but made me giggle 600cc's of snarling death :D
  18. some big names in it - including the BMF himself Mr Jackson - will be on my watch list http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=INmtQXUXez8
  19. due to the extra amount of air volume in the intake system there can be a delay / lag as the turbo is effectively pressurising a larger amount - this can be compensated for but is also a good example of how you should approach your engine mods vs requirement - it isnt necessarily a case of bolt stuff on and go. If low down torque is a requirement look at putting turbo on that will spool up quicker - you will loose at the top end but gain lower down
  20. Wotcha and welcome - yes please share some pictures if you have them :)
  21. The faulty stat is more likely as this will stop liquid flow completely leading to overheating - the FMIC isnt designed to restrict air flow but will do if the fins are damaged. Cars have stacked coolers for things like oil and air con as well as the rad, as long as the fins are ok the air flows through no problem
  22. ditto - ooooh Ive come over all Patrick Swayze
  23. Jay762 replied to Gambit's topic in Junk Room
