  1. It's a sealed system so air shouldn't be getting in, typically it's spat out if there's a hole somewhere due to it being a pressurised system. you can get a sniff test kit yourself http://www.uktools.com/block-tester-p-12508.html
  2. in reality for 99% of people the widetrack and dccd means sod all to how it drives, to take it to the point where it makes a difference you have to be a very very good driver and more or less pro. If i was going to do the change I'd look at a hawk Spec C
  3. Will need alot more than just a map, GT is just the euro name for a turbo 2000, so will need turbo, injectors, fuel pump, decat and map at least to make 340.
  4. if theres water in it still should be working. Top it up and bleed it properly and see what happens. Other option is sniff test
  5. From what i can gather its a bit of a fad, older diesel can see some improvement due to internal build up, but most cars dont see any difference and even if thought so tends to be a placebo affect. Bear in mind it isnt giving you anythign extra, just cleaning whats there,

    My work.

Cool, bet they dont come cheap though lol
  7. That in itself is the issue. People tend to make there story to read one way or another depending on perspective. Some situations is very clear cut, robberham is a good example of that, you only have to look how much sealant in the pictures to see how bad the work is. But, lets say for example a pulley fails 6 months after a cambelt is changed, whos fault is it? the owner of the car will blame the company who did the cambelt, however in 5 months alot can happen to a bearing.. SO in reality its not really anyones fault, however the car owner will see it differently. There are stories i coudl tell you all day like that
  8. Is one up for sale fopr 60k as well :o
  9. Brave man haha, that started on scoobynet untill one of the traders decided to post negative reviews about all the others :o why allot gets vaped now
  10. echo above, nice car and place
  11. The engine take about 10 mins to get to temp properly, yes really that long. Bear in mind driving it means more load on the engine, which means more heat. The cooling system is a sealed so it shouldn't be using any, if it is something is amiss. Also it takes the oil alot longer than the water to warm up, so its goo to drive it steady for 5-10 mins before giving it large and then riving the last few miles steady to let it cool down. Leaving it sat to warm up and cool down inst ideal because it doesn't allow all the fluids to circulate and warm up evenly. Colour wise will vary according to brand, so is a bit irrelevant
  12. Has to be said i o think Chris harris is a pretty good reviewer so i dont think he'll go too wrong on that front. never heard of rory reid haha and eddie jordan is there to stir the pot with some celebs. looks like its having a more up market proper car review show revamp. It's not what top gear was about so its doomed form a 1. should have dumped the name and createx a new show if they wanted to replace it, there is no way any line up will ever fiull the old teams shoes due to their personalitys, whether you love or loath them
  13. The fronts fit ok, but they sit high up in a classic.

Has it been in a shunt? door gaps look a bit large
  15. Welcome
  16. Yeah, the stricter the rules the more expensive it is to develop. Currently you have to spend £10,000 to get 0.001% better performance. When there's very few rules a good idea costing 10p can make the car 1% quicker, innovation is the key to F1. F1 governance don't seem to have a clue how to solve the problems they are having with dropping viewing figures, but it ain't rocket science. They need to realise flat out speed won't draw the crowds anymore, its all about wheel to wheel, close racing. There on about increasing downforce to make the cars faster. I can tell you now that wont work, its an issue now due to cars not being able to get by the car in front due to downforce being lower when following a car, you need to have at least a second a lap advantage to pass at the min. They need to reduce downforce and increase the use of mechnical grip to allow that to happen.
  17. Chuck the new maf on (make sure its genuine), do an ecu reset and see if that solves it.
  18. Massive step in the right direction. the last bit about only upgrading when parts fail is pointless, easy enough for the mapper to pop it.
  19. First port of call get it to a specialist, get them to give it a once over and also put it on the dyno, make sure its running alright
  20. 2.5 ftw welcome :)
  21. Is the svx car pack or free one?
  22. Are the updates free?
  23. Not always visible.
