you do realise your only talking about 2-3k miles here? just brings an oil change slightly sooner that's all don't worry about it, but as you say if its regular then a cheap daily drive will be a good idea
  8. Sod the rcm one, mate had two brand new ones fail in short order before going to a different brand. IIRC they are swrd ones rebranded in a fancy box Walbro all the way
  9. is it a new one or second hand one? have you got a budget in mind?
  10. hmm, no sign of pics etc yet, i wonder why,,,,,,,,, hahahaha
  11. could be or turbo seals, etc etc. basicly oil is getting somewhere it shouldn't be, given the mileage i wouldn't be surprised if it needed an engine refresh, my type r's engine was pretty much worn out at 104k and while prob been driven harder than yours milage still does the same thing.
  12. no pic for me on desktop
  13. welcome, forresters are pretty good for that sort of thing :)
  14. First bit of advice as far as subaru tuning. Stay away from ebay. Unless its a known branded part, such as miltek etc then just leave well alone. Allot of ebay parts will loose power, if they work at all.
  15. So is this a type 25? or just a forged hawk sti?
  16. blue tinge is oil, that is not good i'm afraid. Need to get it looked at by a specialist to try to find out what's causing the smoke then go from there,
  17. as above, also may be worth looking at some under car guards, sump guard etc
  18. you'll get about 20 different answers to that hahaha i use scoobyclinic up at chesterfield for all my work. my old hawk with cobra decat,
  19. Welcome, as above really, cobra do a pretty quiet full decat
  20. haha yeah, some of them do make funny reading :D
  21. welcome, hmmm, im feeling some serious tech geek questions coming on :D hahaha
