  1. Had flex z on mine for a fair few years now and never found them to be a problem harshness wise, have to confess im not sure what spring rates are fitted to mine.
  2. Welcome. If its going off as soon as its locked i would guess one of the sensors is duff and triggering it.
  3. Could go aftermarket, https://www.exedy.co.uk/products/mt-standard/clutch-kit as an example
  4. Given the code is for the injectors may well be that one of them is either blocked or nackered. might be worth chaning the fuel filter as its not a mega cost.
  5. welcome, 2? thats greedy,,,,, hahaha
  6. I would guess that if hte batgtery has gone then the bill is a gonna be alot, aka thousands as it will need a new battery pack. EV's will all need new batterys at some point, but 4 years is pretty short. Good news is if you've only had it for 14 days then your covered legally, see what the garage wants to do, either replace the battery pack or give you your money back.
  7. If there is 'extensive rust' it will be alot more than just the subframe, archers and sills are common rust sposts. It's not a cheap repair im afraid and untill its looked at and stripped down its unlikly it will be known how bad it is (Subaru arcdhes go from the inner wing outwards as an example) I use scoobyclinic up at chesterfield for all my work, they did both side sills past two years (one per mot).
  8. tbh that looks done. https://haywardandscott.com/pages/subaru-legacy some options there
  9. tbh its nothing new. Some manufacturers still claim 30k oil changes, well check the oil after 5k and see if you think it needs changing lol
  10. have to say driving one of the new subarus after driving a lotus and caterham will be rather,,, lacking in fun? lol
  11. xt and sti are very very different animals, bit like wrx vs sti impreza wrx 5/6k decent sti 15/20k. decent examples go for good money now adays.
  12. Insurance can be a complete minefiled and prices seem to change from day to day. best bet is give your current insurer and ring and ask. Could also try some of the specialists like keith michaels. running costs tbh i didnt find much difference between a wrx and sti or the wifes forester.
  13. uk special editions are usual pretty !Removed! and just cosmetic, subaru UK has little interest any more, pretty sure wont be long till subaru uk closes.
  14. Afraid im from farther oop narth, so not really sure whos good down that way :S
  15. Dealer wont be able to help with that, needs to be a specialist.
  16. Is it mapped for the 99 fuel?
  17. Prob need to drop the oil and see what it looks like, after that compression/leakdown test, then go from there. doesn't sound promising though.
  18. I believe it will be drive by wire rather than cable so could be the throttle position sensor, def need to get it looked at.
  19. its just a cable so it's either snapped or come off at one of the ends. Does it open with the key?
  20. By revs climbing do you mean the clutch is slipping? or throttle sticking?
  21. Never even heard of them before tbh, loooking at companies house they hyave been around since 2013, but thats about it.
  22. Tbh you'd be better and spend less just buying a wrx, its not just the engine thats different.
  23. tbh i have no idea, they dont come up very often so its a bit of an unknown
  24. No problem at all to ask, hopefully you have some luck finding one 😄
