  1. Yeah should be in the history, if not then will be tiral an error if a mechanic cant get the fault to replicate to understand it.
  2. Have you had it checked out to see what the code is?
  3. nice 😄 bet you were like a kid at christmas during its transport
  4. Will be a standard mechanism so non model specific, should be easier to find. try import car parts
  5. Nice, have you collected it yet or is it still on route?
  6. Welcome
  7. I would have thought an android headunit can use google maps, which tbh i find far better than tom tom (Got two saton my shelf gathering dust as i havnt used them in years)
  8. Welcome, get some pics up 😄
  9. User hasnt logged on since origional post so locking the topic.
  10. TBH i would sugest after 4 years its highly doubt im afraid.
  11. does it hide the screws? holding the pocket in?
  12. Alot will dpend on what spec you go for and what engine you are starting with, what engines in it?
  13. Cat D and basicly a wrx, its scrapper that one for sure
  14. Need to get it plugged in and find out what codes its kicking up, then go from there. i would try to avoid driving it till you get it looked at.
  15. Great to hear 😄 get some pics up
  16. The classic sti brakes are the same as the uk turbo etc. I have to say the standard 4pot brakes are pretty woefull on the classics, i ran uprated disks and pads and fried them on the isle of man in less than an hour and they never really gave much confidence. I was lucky enough to have a set of AP 4 pots on my type r and they were night and day, depending on your budget an upgrade kit maybe a better option. https://godspeedbrakes.co.uk/products/subaru-impreza-gc8-300mm-brembo-caliper-kit thats for a gc8 classic, but something like that would do the trick, would need to confirm fitment though.
  17. Welcome to the miles of smiles club 😄
  18. do you know its service history? if not a full major service, oil, coolant, belts, filters and plugs would be in order. Bear in mind though your gonna have a big bill.
  19. It's no different to a standard uk turbo one. Plenty of specialists all over the country, personaly i use scoobyclinic up at chesterfield, but may be a tad far away for you.
  20. Have to confess its not a conversion i've done on a new age (My type R was 6 speed converted but that was a classic). As far as costs, you do realise a 6 speed and straight cut conversion is the best part of 10k? I'm not try to put you off, just make sure your aware before you go spending alot of money.
  21. oops, that'll teach me for reading a post late at night hahaha
  22. need to get it to a specialist tbh, needs to be stripped down and assessed to see how bad the damage is to know if the blockj is salvagable, are the heds ok, what size pistons after machining etc etc
  23. Looks like wrx that has had some badges and a vin plate thrown at it. The VIN is a UK vin number, applied model code does indeed come back as a wrx sti prodrive uk, however i suspect its a ringer. The parts i notice that look wrong, running gear (rear diff is a R160 but should be R180) (2001 wont have DCCD even if it was an sti) gear stick should be lift reverse type, this one isnt so its a 5 speed box engine, no red inlet, missing alternator cover + various other covers and such interior, seats, (carpet was grey for the sti model so is correct) dash (dials should be blue, no intercooler spray buttons) fog lights brakes Wheels rear spoiler is STI replica (light should be at bottom for that year and angle is wrong) WRX headlights rear lights are from a later model one side of the front wing has a reflector, other carbon insert, should be carbon both sides The longer i look more i find, underside looks rather ropey, and for an sti its missing a digit in the price (Although not in the best condition). Short version, walk away. Just for ref, a genuine sti for sale https://www.autotrader.co.uk/car-details/202407302305530?sort=relevance&advertising-location=at_cars&make=Subaru&min-engine-power=250&model=Impreza&postcode=DE5 9TU&year-from=2001&year-to=2002&fromsra
