  1. Well get some pics up then 😄 lol
  2. tbh its not the worst ive seen 😮 alot of what you can see are bolt ons (rear subframe etc), if your pockets run that deep of course.
  3. Gone through a few on mine in the past 18 months and turns out there was a fault on the charging circuit.
  4. Get a specialist to check it, could be nothing serious, such as a belt tensioner, or could be bearings (they tend to be noisey at lower revs before they totaly fail)
  5. Tidgy replied to Op26's topic in Subaru Outback Club
You could try scoobyclinic at chesterfield
  6. friendly MOT place 😉 Sports cats can be a bit hit and miss, mine had one for many years and did pass, but i know folks who have had them and not.
  7. Just take off the heatshield, leave it off and save yourself some money
  8. looks like the exhaust maifold heatsheild. has it rusted through?
  9. Beware cheap jobs. they rust from the inside out so it's 99% probable the damage will be considerably worse on the inner arch. untill the external panels are stripped off to see how bad the damage is you wont know. it can affect everything from the fuel filler to the suspention tower. Im not trying to cause you panic as it is unlikley not repairable, I just warn you as a paint over it cheap job will only make things worse in the long run. Realisticly your prob talking anywhere from £800 a side upwards for a decent job including blending in etc.
  10. Yeah should be in the history, if not then will be tiral an error if a mechanic cant get the fault to replicate to understand it.
  11. Have you had it checked out to see what the code is?
  12. Will be a standard mechanism so non model specific, should be easier to find. try import car parts
  13. I would have thought an android headunit can use google maps, which tbh i find far better than tom tom (Got two saton my shelf gathering dust as i havnt used them in years)
  14. User hasnt logged on since origional post so locking the topic.
  15. TBH i would sugest after 4 years its highly doubt im afraid.
  16. does it hide the screws? holding the pocket in?
  17. Alot will dpend on what spec you go for and what engine you are starting with, what engines in it?
  18. Cat D and basicly a wrx, its scrapper that one for sure
  19. Need to get it plugged in and find out what codes its kicking up, then go from there. i would try to avoid driving it till you get it looked at.
  20. The classic sti brakes are the same as the uk turbo etc. I have to say the standard 4pot brakes are pretty woefull on the classics, i ran uprated disks and pads and fried them on the isle of man in less than an hour and they never really gave much confidence. I was lucky enough to have a set of AP 4 pots on my type r and they were night and day, depending on your budget an upgrade kit maybe a better option. https://godspeedbrakes.co.uk/products/subaru-impreza-gc8-300mm-brembo-caliper-kit thats for a gc8 classic, but something like that would do the trick, would need to confirm fitment though.
  21. do you know its service history? if not a full major service, oil, coolant, belts, filters and plugs would be in order. Bear in mind though your gonna have a big bill.
  22. It's no different to a standard uk turbo one. Plenty of specialists all over the country, personaly i use scoobyclinic up at chesterfield, but may be a tad far away for you.
  23. Have to confess its not a conversion i've done on a new age (My type R was 6 speed converted but that was a classic). As far as costs, you do realise a 6 speed and straight cut conversion is the best part of 10k? I'm not try to put you off, just make sure your aware before you go spending alot of money.
